Motel One Amsterdam

Went to Amsterdam for a midweek break choose this hotel from reading previous reviews. Excellent transport links, very close to the train station and trams. Spotlessly clean room and very friendly staff.

Just returned from a 3 night stay in hotel. €4 for a train from Schipol Airport and only a few hundred yards to walk to Hotel from station. Can get the number 4 tram straight into town for €3 or buy a 48 hour card for €12. Checked in quickly and as there were 4 couples we were all next door to each other 705-709. Rooms are not very big but adequate. Beds are amazingly comfortable and very clean. TV only has news channels but hey who has time for tv?? Toilet/shower room is spotless and well equipped too. Hairdryer not very great but would do if you didn’t have one. Towels are changed every day which I like. Shower gel and hand soap are also there for use. We were on 7th floor and facing the Dance college and as there is full size windows I had to close the curtains to get changed or we would have had to put a red light on lol. Rooms are very quiet and had no noise whatsoever. Air con is pretty good too. Decor in hotel itself is fab and very tasteful. Downstairs in the bar area there are loads of seats. Bartenders are very nice and polite but sometimes had to ask twice for drinks. Prices not too bad for a hotel. €8.50 for a mojito €7.90 for a vodka and coke. Toasties are €4.95 and very tasty. My husband had the continental breakfast for €9 and said it was lovely. There is a supermarket across the road which sells everything you need. Free WiFi and I managed to watch Netflix on it. All in all I give it a 10/10 and will definitely be back.

The hotel is well designed and has a good price quality ratio. However, I am very disappointed at the way they waste energy. I specifically asked reception and also left a note for the cleaner that I do not wish for my towels or sheets to be changed during my 4 night stay - and still they kept changing both! I think it is ridiculous waste of natural resources to wash a towel used only once and I think it is especially upsetting that they would not respect the explicit wish of a customer: even when it meant less work for them!

Its not in the city center but very easy to reach to the center by tram or metro. The station is very close. Rooms are bigger than city centers hotel for sure and clean. Breakfast is very good and delicious, the staff is super kind although you are in Holland.

We had the most amazing stay here. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel, grounds and room were all so clean and well kept. Such a quirky place with a wonderful atmosphere at all times of the day. The Christmas lights made it all the more cosy. We were on the first floor so close to the bar and didn't hear any noise from it at night. The most amazing shower in the room!! Breakfast was great, continental. All very tasty. There were a couple of restaurants just outside the hotel and a supermarket. The hotel is easy to get to from central amsterdam or from the airport via tram or train. Either of which are less than 5 mins walk to get to/from. Thank you to the staff for making our short stay so pleasant. We will definately stay here again if we visit again.

Lovely hotel. Decor is really nice, really liked the huge window in our room. Beds really comfortable & shower was amazing. Really modern. Rooms were a bit small and so was the bathroom but nothing major. Staff were lovely and right next to the metro and a tram stop. Very cheap for what it is. Recommend

We visited motel one for 5 nights and are more than satisfied. The Waiter in the lounge, named Hollywood, was very kind, welcoming and always put a smile on our faces. We will definitely book here next time if we visit Amsterdam again.

We stayed here for 4 days. It was close to RAI and about 15 minutes by tram to Central Station. It is one of the newer hotels in the area. Several places to eat and a grocery store right across the street. They offer a breakfast for 9.50 euros which isnt to bad. They have a very small parking garage and we were lucky enough to get a space each day. I would give them a 5 but they had only 1 of the 3 elevators working, they seemed to be out for quite a while. They have 9 floors,so we did alot of waiting.Staff was very nice.Nice bar too.

This was a cool place to stay. Though not in the middle of everything if was still easy to get to the center of things. It is reasonably priced and very clean with an uncluttered feel. The rooms are basic but very accommodating. They are centered around a main vertical shaft. The lobby is beautiful and upscale. Breakfast is served at an additional cost and well worth the 7 EUR. The buffet is extensive with a wide variety of food. The buffet area readily converts to the bar which is also impressive. Great chain to follow while traveling in Europe. There are plans to continue to expand.

Lovely classy hotel outside Amsterdam city centre but on the metro line with a station <5 mins walk away Reasonable prices for a better quality hotel Lovely and clean Being outside the city means a quiet nights sleep too
