The hotel has a cool concept/design and it is clean. It is walking distance to train station but if weather conditions are not the best or its too cold you will end up paying a lot for cab/uber to and from the city centre. The staff are mostly nice and friendly. I did not like the manner of one of the guys at their bar (the lady was very nice & friendly) so we did not go there for the last few days. They did not provide any food services past 10 or 11 pm. I would not recommend the hotel if you are visiting Amsterdam for the first time, unless it is for business purposes.
Quite a funky looking hotel with unusual and modern design. Room was comfy enough with decent bed and nice hot shower - the room I had the shower was in the main room in a wrap around enclosure - very funky. Checkin staff were a bit “cold”. Efficient enough but no charm or friendliness - it was just a transaction. Overall a decent enough hotel, but very expensive for what you get, and I likely wouldn’t stay here again.
Very clean beautiful hotel easy check-in. Great view and they do offer a ride to the airport for a fee. The shower was a pretty crazy thing to experience, it leaks a bit but I just but a towel on the floor. Ubers can easily access the entrance. 20min drive to city center of Amsterdam from the hotel.
Stayed for my boyfriends birthday, the hotel is amazing! We checked in smoothly, when we walked into the room it was strange to see a shower in the middle of the room but also nice to see something a little different. The beds were so comfortable i didn't want to get up! We had a drink in the sky bar, the cocktails are pricey but you pay for what you get! We had breakfast which was really nice you could have anything and everything. The only thing we had a problem with was the distance into the centre but i guess you cant have everything! Overall this is a lovely hotel & i would recommend it to everyone.
This has to be the weirdest hotel I ever stayed in. Reception: on arrival it felt strange, I can't say they were unpleasant but it was a bit off. Room: "Beam me up Scottie" shower in the centre was very amusing, toilet was like using a public cubicle. The whole room was just a bit strange. Coffee pod machine: dreadful coffee, yuk! Bed was comfortable. We stayed here 1 night to visit the Ziggodome for a concert. After the concert we got back to the hotel at about 12.30 and went straight to the bar, sat down and waited and waited, eventually after about 10 mins of waiting to be served my husband managed to asked one of the bartenders for a drink only to be told that they were closed and had stopped serving! they could have told us that at the beginning instead of letting us sit there and avoiding us! in fact one of them was giving us dirty looks and walking past on several ocassions! not impressed. Check out: paid for taxi to take us to the station, was told it would be 15 minutes - after 30 minutes my husband went over to reception to check and they finally took us in the minibus to the station - I wonder how long we would have waited if he had not asked! No we did not enjoy this hotel, I have nothing nice to say about it at all.
Stayed at the Fletcher for 2 nights, overall stay was ok. Clean hotel. Staff didn’t seem too friendly or helpful and seemed that they didn’t really care. The bed was a thin and way too soft mattress. The beds were two singles pushed together with single duvets. Majority of the rooms seemed to be twins, wasn’t really the kind of hotel you would share a twin bed with someone with the shower in the middle of the room. Upgraded to executive floor for 2nd night €20 extra, only difference was a double bed and slightly higher room. Room exactly the same. The shower did leak with water running under the door and all over the floor. Breakfast was bad and would advise going elsewhere, overpriced for what it is. 1st day majority of cooked breakfast had run out when we arrived. There was no fresh bread, asked 3 times and even when left no bread brought out. Cooked breakfast was eventually re stocked. 2nd day was better, more stock but cooked breakfast was cold. Waiting staff were not apologetic or friendly. Although the chef was helpful and friendly and cooked eggs/omelette/pancakes to order if requested. 10 minutes walk to the metro station, there is a Fletcher car than can take you to the station but charge €3pp!! Car parking is €16 a day at the hotel!!
easy outside of Amsterdam location, we got it for good pricing through Agoda - sometimes could be also very expensive ! Very good design, great room concept with round glass shower in middle of the modern room - great window, only view is just business centre or highway, but great - breakfast is too expensive and parking should be for free !
Stayed here 5 nights and had 2 rooms on the 10th floor while visiting some friends. The hotel looks very modern and a bit flash but once you look around and stay there it's not functional at all. The beds are just cheap foam and not good to sleep in, in fact 2 of us fell on the floor in the middle of the night since the foam mattress flips very easy. The shower is very small and in the middle of the room so obviously no privacy if sharing a room. The window doesn't open so no fresh air and the air conditioning is very poor. The rooms are showing their age already and not very clean. The Wi-Fi was non existent for me but my mates managed to get it. The restaurant and bar upstairs is nice with friendly staff and good views was the only good thing, however a bit pricy. There are 4 restaurants right in front of hotel with decent value. It's about a 2 km walk to the metro station and then about a 25 minute journey to central station which is right in the heart of Amsterdam. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for the price they charge. Search elsewhere.
Great hotel, nice people at the reception. Bartenders we were very helpfull and made the greatest virgin cocktails for my daughter. Splendid atmosphere in the loungebar at night, great music. Room was exactly as shown on the pics and the view is perfect.
Me, my partner and our three friends booked a three night stay here to celebrate my partners birthday and were really disappointed. From the photos you think you're going to stay at a really nice, welcoming hotel, which in reality - was far from it. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we were met with a rude male member of staff, who was unhelpful, not interested and just plain rude, not sure what crawled up his a*se but either he hates his job or people in general, it's one of the two. We were then surprised with a 10 euros city tax charge, which was not stated anywhere when booking, wasn't expensive but would have liked to have known beforehand instead of it being sprung upon us. When we all got to our rooms, we had booked a double room and had found that the "double" bed was actually two singles pushed together, classy. Lights were dusty, small stains on the duvet cover, not great. In the morning our friends had to complain to reception because their shower had leaked all over their floor, the next day it also happened to us. My partner woke up in super hot in the middle of the night, kept trying to turn the air conditioning on and got nothing, as it didn't work. Wouldn't stay again.
