This is a great hotel as long as you don't mind waiting to get into your room. We returned at 5pm from a busy day sightseeing ready for a bath & a cup of tea only to find housekeeping had just commenced cleaning our room as they were "very busy". This has never happened before in any of the many hotels we have stayed in worldwide. Not good enough. Still waiting!-
A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. The staff really know how to look after their guests. They go above and beyond to make you feel special. A big thank you to Tarik who helped make a great stay even better.
the best hotel ever!!!! great staff…great location…we celebrated our 10th anniversary and we loved it. the room was beautiful, the hotel is located in the hart of amsterdam right next to the national monument and the madame tussauds museum
I made a booking of a one-night stay here and made the right choice. Check-in was done by a trainee but she did it with professional aplomb. Knowing that it was the first time I stayed in the hotel, she gave me a concise and precise introduction to it and showed me the way to a particular elevator given the separate elevators that give access to hotel rooms in different wings. The room itself was in a quiet section away from the hustle and bustle of the Dam area where the hotel is in. A large queen bed greeted me along the large backboard with snapshots of the canal and rows of houses. Most of the standard amenities (even slippers) are behind a sliding door, which also opens to the wardrobe. Storing luggage is a breeze - on a long elevated counter stretching to the TV area. The bathroom is spacious and clean, with the glass wall keeping water from being splashed around. Make sure you also make a booking with the breakfast included. The dining hall itself is some rich heritage that should not be missed. If you come from Amsterdam Centraal station, take the tram: the hotel is only 2 stops away from it. Easy.
Very much enjoyed my weekend at the NH Krasnapolsky. Lots of greats... location, very friendly and helpful staff providing useful suggestions, birthday surprise of cake and balloons in my room, room upgrade, massive and comfortable bed, very clean and tidy, easy check in and out even though it was busy. Much thanks! : ) e
Position position position! You could not ask for better with Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky. Staff were very helpful, room was lovely and this is the second time we have stayed here. Well worth having breakfast in the Wintergarden, as long as it is not being used for conferences, otherwise breakfast moves upstairs - same choices but not the same atmosphere.
I was here at the beginning of June on business however did not stay in the hotel. We had the meeting rooms hired out for a three day event, and I cannot thank the staff enough, they were all fantastic! On one of the days, myself and another worker were working through lunch and missed the serving times, however the waiting staff in the main dining area still insisted we sit down and they brought to us a large selection of food, which was just delicious! They even came over before they finished their shift to wish us a pleasant stay in Amsterdam before they leave! Just lovely friendly people, and it makes all the difference!
great location within walking distance to the Station the cannels and great restaurants. I was lucky to have a room on the 6th floor with great views of the city. I was attending a Conference which the hotel supported very well - large enough to cope with 350 guests without feeling crowded.
This central hotel is located on Dam Square. Walking distance from Amsterdam Central Station, or one stop on tram 24. Very accessible to all Amsterdam attractions and shopping. Staff are very accommodating, large rooms, clean and well kept. We celebrated a wedding anniversary and made balloons and cookies. On rainy day umbrellas were distributed in the lobby. Breakfast (a bit expensive) but amazing! A variety of healthy, fresh and tasty food. All the time the waiters turn and turn away from the tables. Well done.
As someone that had previously lived in Amsterdam, when I booked the hotel, I knew exactly where it was. The hotel is directly opposite the Royal Palace and central to all of the main attractions within Amsterdam. When we checked in, we were told that we had been upgraded to an apartment. The apartment was a one bedroom apartment, with the bedroom/bathroom downstairs and the kitchen upstairs. The room was really nice, just had a few minor repairs needing to be carried out.
