Spent a fine few days withe some friends at this great venue. From check-in to check-out service was professional, friendly and warm. The rooms and public areas were immaculate despite the full capacity and the busy weekend. Rooms were modern and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic, especially with the gorgeous surroundings in the breajfast hall. All in all a highly recommended hotel, especially for the crowd looking for a more elegant experience rather than a venue focused on design and hippness.
The best location just in the heard of the city. Eventually a bit loud if you have a room to the street. But overall a great experience. Service at the front office is maybe not the best one - we waited over 3 hours of our room although it was known that we arrived early.
What can i say about this hotel apart from wow everything from the foyer to the rooms are amazing we stayed here on new years eve but couldnt wait to come back the staff are truly are what makes this hotel so special you really couldnt ask for better sher and emma on reception were amazing and jessica guest relations honestly couldnt ask to be treated any better this hotel is honestly the best hotel we have ever stayed in cant wait to come back in april thankyou donna and george room 6138
Great food and excellent service. The choice of wines is amazing! It was a pleasure to have lunch with such friendly staff. All hard working and Nice people. Especially Ikram, who is an example to many employees. A true star! Keep up the good work!
My arrival didn't start so smoothly as my room was located right next to the street with so much action and noise and the windows are so thin that I could barely sleep the first night. However after I explained to the staff they did their best to suit my needs and found me a much better and silent room, Thanks Lidy and Willem for your kind support to this very demanding guest :D
excellent service and location. silent and cosy room, tasty breakfast. staff was very kind and helpful, especially I would like to mention Beatrice - excellent service, the highest level! I will stay here again, very good choice
We had 3 people staying for a total of 16 room nights (we upgraded at check-in to premium rooms). Our meeting room outside the hotel was cancelled due to the App not having a US billing address section. We attempted to rent a meeting room from the hotel that is small with a conference table and eight chairs, along with a white board. There were three of these rooms adjacent the front desk. We asked to rent one for 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. The hotel demanded $1,100 Euros/day. Since there were only four of us and it would have only required 5 minutes of cleaning afterward (wiping down the table), we declined. The rooms sat empty the entire time we were guests without one occupant. The hotel manager(s) knew our dilemma until we could make other arrangements on Monday, yet they demanded this crazy amount of money, when all we needed was a place to sit and a white board. I would understand if we were only there for a couple of days, but we paid a total of 16 nights stay. We did not ask to get it for free and were willing to pay at least half the asking price from the Hotel. They would not help us. For this very reason, I would never stay there again.
Located just down the street from the train station, the Grand Krasnapolsky is situated in the heart of the action. Whichever of the cultural attractions brings you to this amazing town, this hotel most likely puts you in close proximity to it. In all honesty, we preferred our quiet stay on one of the local house boats for the extended portion of our trip. But, this hotel was a fantastic way to kick off our Damn experience!
I bought my husband a long weekend away for Xmas and chose this hotel. I wasn't disappointed! I had paid for a premium room and although there was a slight mix up during check-in that saw us checked in to the incorrect room this was quickly put right by Rick (who was lovely). We were immediately upgraded to a suite with a view, and although we did get stuck in the lift whilst being taken to our suite (many thanks for the free drinks as compensation) it was amazing, overlooking Dam Square. A huge room with bar area, sofa then a HUGE bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom had the biggest shower ever and a lovely bath too. We were in room 1035, only on the first floor but we had no noise whatsoever from outside. Breakfast was included and there was everything you could possibly want with very friendly and attentive staff. The Bar staff were also extremely friendly and helpful when recommending places to see and visit. There was a Scottish barman, I didn't get his name, but he was so nice!! Rick also assisted us during check out and was very polite and courteous and stored our bags for the day until it was time to leave for the flight home. He is a credit to the hotel. Overall a perfect hotel in the heart of Amsterdam, I highly recommend this and when we return I won't hesitate in booking a room here again. Thank you for a perfect weekend away.
Lovely Hotel. Fantastic staff, service, decor, location and amenities. Not been to Amsterdam before so glad we chose a good hotel. Good price. Only slight downside is soundproofing in the rooms. Can hear people in the rooms either side and walking above and also, glass bathroom wall means a well lit room during toilet visits at night!
