Myself and my partner have just got back from staying here over New Years. I cannot fault the hotel at all. All the staff are kind and friendly and are always happy to help. The rooms were very clean and a good size. The shuttle service from the Hotel to the centre was brilliant and when there was a long wait expected the hotel staff supplied taxis for us - we really couldn't have asked for a better service. Thank you so much and if we ever come back to Amsterdam we will sure be staying here again.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my partner for 4 nights. Overall, we had a lovely stay; the hotel is well presented on the inside and the rooms are very clean. Before booking the hotel we had read on here about the free shuttle bus service, and this was a big factor in us choosing to stay at this hotel. For the first 2 days of our stay the shuttle bus service could not be faulted, however for the final two days of the stay (when more people seemed to be staying at the hotel) the shuttle bus service could not cope. There were multiple occasions where we were unable to get on to the shuttle bus because the shuttle bus only had 8 seats, and there were more guests than seats available. Depending on the time of day this really affected the length of time that we had to wait for a shuttle, on a couple of occasions having to wait more than half an hour, and when at the sister hotel this meant waiting outside (which in the January weather was very cold!). You also needed to make sure that it was clear that you were waiting, because once more than 8 people were waiting, guests knew that not everyone would be able to fit on to the shuttle, making the process of getting on to the bus reminiscent of getting on to the school bus after school! Having a better queuing system in place could have avoided this. The breakfast at the hotel was priced at around 16 euros, and we felt that this was quite expensive and so choose to eat at bakeries in the centre of Amsterdam which was lovely. There are a small selection of restaurants and shops just across from the hotel which was very convenient. Overall, the hotel was great when there weren't too many people wanting to use the shuttle bus, and in the summer I am sure this would be less of a problem, but especially in colder months the shuttle bus service needs to be improved/bigger buses invested in, to make sure that they are able to cope with the demand.

Recently stayed at the NH Amsterdam Noord for 4 nights. The highlights are the free shuttle bus to the Centraal. We used this every day, it comes around every 20 minutes, saving you €€€. It will then pick you up from the sister hotel in Centraal. The staff were lovely! Really polite and helpful especially Macy who greets us on arrival. In my opinion the breakfast is too expensive. €15-17 per morning for an average breakfast. There isn’t many restaurants/cafes serving breakfast around, apart from the pub next to Papa Johns. Rooms are decent, however pillows were very uncomfortable! The bathroom was great, with a powerful shower & relaxing bath. Next time I visit Amsterdam id stay closer to Centraal as I prefer being in walking distance, but overall this hotel is pretty good.

Hotel is clean and well furnished. Room is a bit on the small side but perfectly fine. Staff are helpful and friendly. It is located about 20 minutes outside of Amsterdam Centraal but there is a free shuttle starting at 9am that takes you to town every 20 minutes. However there were a few occasions where we had to wait for the shuttle for more than 40 minutes. There is a big grocery store and a few restaurants about 5 minutes away.

I went to Amsterdam with my friend and we booked this hotel as part of a package deal on I have nothing bad to say about the experience at the hotel at all. The staff were so friendly and helpful. An amazing part of staying at this hotel is the free shuttle service that takes you to Amsterdam Centraal and back, the shuttle bus comes approx. every 15 minutes. One morning me and my friend missed the shuttle so the concierge arranged for a taxi to take us (free of charge). The hotel was modern, clean and fresh. The room had everything we needed except slippers. But overall we had a wonderful experience.

We booked the hotel purely for the shuttle service and cheap cost but we were stunned at how lovely the hotel was. Very polite and helpful staff! The shuttle service saved us a fortune in taxis and were very reliable! One evening the shuttle bus didn’t have enough room to take us all back from the city centre so the hotel called a taxi and paid for it!! The whole hotel is very clean and the rooms are very nicely decorated! The bathroom was lovely! Looked brand new!

Very clean and well appointed room, Very good breakfast. Evening meals only in the bar, so a restricted menu. Very good value though. Bar can be noisy as it is a base hotel for a couple of airlines crew stop-overs.The shuttle (free) to the centre of Amsterdam is very good. We like the position, near the "Ring Nord" very convenient as we like to visit the villages bordering the Ijslmeeer, and towns futher afield.

I have stayed in excess of 15 nights at this property over the past 24 months last time for 3 nights in a row, just last week (late november 2017). I hope this qualifies me to write a review that is not all that glittering and shiny. I travel for a living and stay where my company decides to book me. The NH Amsterdam Noord is NOT a great hotel by any means. It is located in a drab and populous part of town, quite a ways away from Amsterdam center and the tourist attraction. The hotel however offers a shuttle service with friendly drivers that run every 15-20 minutes or so and is very convenient. This hotel is an airline crew layover hotel and mornings are very busy at the reception. While some receptionists are nice and helpful, some others are just impossible to deal with and downright unfriendly, especially two ladies whose names i will not reveal here for fear of being not published. The rooms come in all kinds of shapes and sizes but all are furnished in a very generic, modern style. A lot of them are noisy, especially the ones next to service doors. The cleaning staff constantly goes through those doors and carelessly lets the service doors slam loudly, blaringly speaks to each other right ouside the bedroom doors in absolute disregard as to whether customers within might be trying to rest or not. The best feature about this hotel is the pub downstairs which is always busy early evenings in great part because of their happy hour. The servers are awesome and friendly, the drinks are cheap and plentiful. The food is ok at best but then again this is a pub and not a gastronomic restaurant. To sum up the many experiences i have had at this hotel, i will have to say that this place is a pretty generic hotel stay. This review will probably garner a ready-to-use, template remark from one of the on duty managers and to which i will not be able to respond. It is what it is. Stay at that hotel is you are looking for a cheap, generic stay, nothing else.

We spent four days here and had a great holiday. We were worried it would be to far from the centre but it was no problem. A great adventure travelling from the airport then took a ferry over to the hotel area, walked to the hotel from the ferry. You can also go by bus/taxi from the station area. We spent our days walking throughout the city, very lazy afternoons sitting in bars outside watching the world go by. Very chill out holiday. Looking forward to another Amsterdam holiday next summer.

Staying at NH Noord Amsterdam for a short break. Very comfortable clean hotel with excellent staff. If you want the best long island iced in the world go in and ask for Sebastian the Barman and he will make you an amazing cocktail ! he is fantastic! I think I’ve tried long island iced tea everywhere in the world and his are definitely at the top! Great lively bar with drinks reasonably priced... especially in the long happy hour! Shuttle bus into the centre passed I’m the driver of the bus outstanding friendly and happy Reception staff also very helpful
