Great location. Very central and walkable to lots of restaurants, shops, parks and museums. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable and had a fridge, coffee/tea, and a balcony over looking the canal. Lovely!

This is a beautiful hotel, the staff are phenomenal especially in the restaurant. Very attentive and polite. The breakfast is superb, a large selection to cater for everyone. We were in room 327 with a balcony. The only issue was that its very loud past midnight with the passing trams. The balcony is in need of repair with broken and nissing floor tiles and chairs that are dirty. More coffee and creamer wouldn't go a miss. I would stay here again but choose a riverside room.

We have just returned from a short break in Amsterdam . We stayed in the Clayton and it was ideal. The hotel is very central to everything. Close to shops, bars and restaurants. The tram stop is just outside. We walked everywhere, very relaxing. The staff were very welcoming.

This is the perfect Amsterdam hotel, as it’s quaint, rich with history, warm and friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and right on a canal in the heart of all the fun! We had a bottle of champagne when we arrived for our anniversary weekend. It was magical!! Get a canal room!!! ♥️🎉

Excellent hotel & staff - strongly recommend!

Absolutely loved this hotel! Stayed in an Executive Queen room and it was incredible, much larger than most of the other rooms I’ve stayed in throughout Europe. Hotel staff were super helpful, welcoming and kind! Loved having drinks at Bar American a few evenings - the fountain and street view helped to make it a perfect location. Can’t wait to return!

Not a quiet place and would not recommend for a family. Had some drunk guy kick our door and wake us up from a late nap around 8pm trying to come into our room. Otherwise, great location and excellent staff.
