First class hotel in a great location. Cellar bar with a wonderfully expert barman a real highlight . Food was delicious . Staff without exception were helpful and friendly. Prices not for the faint hearted !
This hotel is everything you would expect at this price point, you will not be disappointed. The service is personal, unobtrusive and swift. The rooms are exceedingly comfortable, well equipped and clean. The location is within walking distance of most of the best sightseeing and shopping locations. It’s not quite 5/5 for me for two reasons. Firstly our view was of a wall. We weren’t planning to be in the room much so we weren’t concerned, but I can’t say it was perfect. Secondly there was a lot of shouting and sirens in the street on our last night (Saturday). Whilst the production of the noise is outside the control of the hotel, the soundproofing is not. That said this is still an excellent hotel.
Very nice location , fantastic and spectacular decoration. Very kind and good service staff. This is extraordinary hotel in Amsterdam that i would recommend . You can see lovely ride boat in front of hotel. Clean and comfortable room with high ceiling
Beautiful buildings, excellent location, well-appointed room. The loung and restaurant facilities are warm and comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff. Regrettably, this trip was short. Cold rain and wind kept us indoors too much.
We stayed here recently for a weekend break the Hotel is a beautiful building which is several buildings combined into one All staff were professional, friendly and helpful we could not fault the service. The hotel is very conveniently located for all museums and with in walking distance of most attractions. We used Uber for taxi service to get around for further distances Quick and reasonably priced. Thank you to all the staff for an excellent stay.
The hotel is gorgeous, in a great location, the staff is amazing from the doorman Yanik to the concierge and front desk staff who made great recommendations they were al so helpful and made my stay incredible!
What a great place to turn 60! The staff treated us like royalty. I enjoyed every minute we were there. The room wasn't as big as I expected, but it was nice. I felt very safe and comfortable the whole time we were in Amsterdam. Just have to watch all the time for people on bicycles.
I have been to answer damn many times, stated many hotels, but by far the Waldorf Astoria is second to none. Great people, great facilities, great location, nothing but great things to say. Food and beverage was great, reception were extremely nice, and even the housekeeper's made sure to say hello every time they saw you. I truly cannot wait till return
Hello!stayed 4 nights in Waldorf) The hotel is good : we tried tasty lunch in 2 starts Michelin restaurant, beautiful cozy spa with quite weak sauna and very comfortable bed ) I would like to thank Michel and Catarina to make our trip even better) Advice for hotel: pls, start selling swimsuits in spa)
This is a lovely property, with very unusual grounds. Very expensive.very elegant and posh. I got sick during our Cruise and had to disembark in Amsterdam and head to a hospital. We had no hotel reservations and most everything was sold out except for a few select 5 star hotels. This hotel was gracious and one of the few that ensured us our room would connect with my Mom's room plus and we could have double beds so my husband would not get whatever it was I had, Well my moms room was no where near ours and our room although grand you could tell was in need of repair. A famous rock singer stayed there for a month and had just checked out. The master bathroom was denigrated. ALL l the sumptuous window and bath draperies were pulled right off of the to walls, even the hardware. The wall to wall heated bathroom flooring, towel bars, tub handles and the toilet seat control element had been intentionally jammed and stayed at about 90% F. The hotel acts embarrassed but not even engineering was able to fix these kinds of things. There was no other room to move us to that would sleep two people. So we drove to Germany and found the perfect hotel where I could convalesce in privacy.
