Great location. Air conditioning was weak and uncomfortable.

This hotel is right off the high-end shopping street in Amsterdam, and within walking distance to Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum and the Concertgebouw. We weren't using any Wi-Fi on this trip so I don't know how their service is.

My room did not have working heat, in February, that made for a very cold night.

short walk from Central Station or can take local train. Fresh and clean room, very quiet around and close to main area attractions. Short walks to the museums, Heineken experience, Red Light District. Young and friendly staff at the hotel

Paid for a wifi connection that barely worked. My hotel in India had a better connection, India! But otherwise, great central location that allowed me to walk to anywhere in the city. The room was also rather large for a European hotel.

We were in Amsterdam for three days. The city itself was beautiful and quaint and the people very friendly. The hotel was excellent. The clerk who checked us in was witty and informative, especially while trying to ascertain the difference between a twin and a double bed! The room was spacious and the large'ish bathroom was appreciated, as well as a real, standup shower, as opposed to a hand shower. The room was cleaned daily, the bed was comfortable, the temperature was great and the blackout curtain worked well. The location was perfect - wthin walking distances of anything in City Centre. Our only criticism is that the coke machines did not contain bottled water. A great hotel for the price!

Location is really good. Hotel is good and clean, but nothing overly exciting about it. Somewhat loud at night: there is noise from the street and you can hear everything that goes on in the hall. If you have a car, parking is 40 Euros per day.

This was my first visit to Amsterdam and we arrived by train at the Central Station. The hotel accommodated our early arrival. Our room was not ready, but they found another room, that was slightly upgraded (without charge) and allowed us to check-in early. The location is about 3-4 blocks from the Central Station but very close to the tram stop(s). We requested a canal side view and they happily complied. The staff graciously offered suggestions for dining and provided directions readily. They also allowed us to store our luggage after check-out and were friendly even when busy with other guests. Our room was clean with wood floors and was generously sized. The bathroom had large counter space and very nice shower (no tub). It was located near many popular bars and restaurants and just blocks from the city centre.

The hotel is well situated for seeing all the sites. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and had nice bathrooms. A good place to stay for visiting Amsterdam, everything was in easy walking distance. I would recommend to anyone looking for a an affordable stay in Amsterdam.

This was a very nice hotel; pretty basic amenities but very helpful front desk staff, clean and spacious bath and bedroom. Located just a few blocks from the Anne Frank House, Rembrandt's home, lots of good restaurants in varying price ranges. The hotel has a continental breakfast for 15 Euros per person, and it was good. It may seem expensive, but it saves having to walk around to find breakfast in another restaurant, which will probably be just as expensive, unless you just want coffee and a pastry. (This has eggs, hot and cold meats, fruit, pastries, cheese, breads and coffee and tea, juice) We happened to be there on April 30, the Queen's birthday--a national holiday. Lots of people come to Amsterdam for this, and it's a crowded, all-day party--we were right in the thick of it at this hotel, but since our room was located in the inner part of the building (it's like an "O" shape), the noise level was fine that evening!

This hotel was the perfect place to stay. We walked everywhere and never once took a taxi or tram. The room was clean and the front desk was very helpful. While the staff was very friendly, if you stay here make sure to look around for signage on specific country information. We neglected to see the sign about the time change and almost didnt wake up in time the next morning for our flight. Overall great value and I would stay there again.

We were there for one night only. The room was clean, the beds were fine and it was in a great location. As Americans, we like our room cold and in Europe, they do not value air conditioning the way we do. We were right in the middle of the city with tons to do within walking distance. Nice restaurants and shopping. Close to Central Station, trams and water taxis. We would stay there again and would recommend to friends.

The NH City Centre was easy find, right on Spuistraast, and our room had a fantastic view of the Singel Canal through an entire wall of windows! If you're staying here, make sure you go to the correct NH in the city, on Spuistraat, as there is another NH hotel with a similiar name. The room was very clean, the bathroom large by European standards, and check-in and check-out was easy. To get the free wifi in the lobby, ask for the code at the front desk. This location was within easy walking distance of Centraal Station, the museums, and all the major squares in the city, plus there's an excellent bakery and several cafes near the hotel. In addition, the Spui tram stop is just one block from the hotel. We will definitely stay here on our next visit. We love Amsterdam and never fail to have a great time!

Typical NH quality, nice rooms, very good location, near to the shopping street. You can take the tram to go to the hotel from central station.

[...]had no rooms with double or queen beds. They gave me a free upgrade to king size bed. The room was small but clean and very nice and the bathroom was small but appeared recently renovated. I would stay here again

The location was good, right on the canal. Walking distance to many sights. Lots of good resturants on the block and close to tram stops.

The location of the hotel is the best feature. It is located midway between Amsterdam Centre train station and the Van Gogh museum to the south. From this location you can get to most places walking. Also, the tram stops one street over and the Flower Market is located less than 2 blocks. There is a friendly Expresso Cafe within a 2 minute walk. The owner is friendly, coffee is great and the internet is free!! We visited every day of our trip. The hotel room is small but clean. We experienced quiet nights both from inside and outside. The only disappointment was breakfast was not included as part of our stay. A single cold breakfast cost 12.50 euro which is way overpriced for coffee and a croissant. We visited the expresso cafe around the corner for 8 euros for both of us.

[...] We were offered a discount rate for the delicious breakfast buffet if we paid up front. Great choice on our part! The Manager tried to get a room ready early for two tired guests. And less than two hours later, we did have our room keys. The hotel lobby extends through the building to doors leading to the Singel canal. Trams #1 and #5 are easily accessible as is a "shopping street." We found the staff (woman who cleaned the main floor bathroom, Sri in the Breakfast Room, and Pu Lim) to be very kind and helpful, such that we changed our plans and stayed 4 nights at the NH City Centre.

Great location. Staff was so friendly!!!! Helped me find locations of restaurants even though I had the incorrect name. Great budget room. Actually better than some of the hotels our friends were staying at for more money at 5 star hotels. Very happy!!!

This is my favorite hotel on my Euro Trip. They had a great room! It was very modern and clean. The bathroom had really great ammenities as well as soap that smells like Jolly Ranchers. Very great looking room, wish I had more time to enjoy in Amsterdam. Definately would recommend to others. Only down side is that it is a little further from shopping/red light and train station if you plan to walk.
