I wish I had stayed here earlier in my trip. This place is great. Super cool, renovated college right in the park. We had a private room with 4 bunks and a nice bathroom w/shower. Great food in the restaurant at a much cheaper price than trying to eat downtown or really anywhere in Amsterdam. I will only stay here if I ever make it back to Amsterdam! Tram drops you off 300 yards from the hostel.
Very clean, very nice facilities, Staff was unexceptional in everyway
This hostel was very clean and had a really nice environment. The cafe inside makes it easy for a quick bite, fresh infused water daily. A nightclub on the weekends and a great way to meet people.
This Hostel is a good place to book if you are looking for a cheap, friendly, clean environment stay. I stayed in the mixed 4 bed bunkbed room. Located inside the room is a private toliet/shower (lock & door for privacy) a shared sink area, bench, and personal lockers underneath the bunkbeds. Bring your own lock for the storage! In each of the bunk areas next to the headboards are power outlets so you can charge your electronics. (USB port and wall unit - bring an adapter if you plan on charging your laptop etc.) In the basement are public bathrooms, which I found useful when coming back in the late/early hours in the night, so I wouldn't disturb the other roommates as much. They serve meals/drinks throughout the day if you want to eat something there. The prices are jacked up a little of course but they sell bottles of water at the reception area for €3 for when you get thirty in your room. The hostel is located approximately 15 mins away from Amsterdam Centraal. You can get there and back to the hostel by taking Tram #9 in either direction. A 1 hour Tram ticket costs €2,90 which can be purchased on the Tram. (The stop for the hostel is Alexanderplein) I would recommend this hostel for future visitors.
Really nice hostel. I loved the library! Downstairs cafe has a'la care breakfast available (5-7EUR without drink) and there is also breakfast buffet in the basement (7,50EUR).
