The 2 star hotel is fine. There is a friendly cat that I enjoyed seeing and appreciated that the hotel has a pet. The room was very small, but adequate for me. The owl decor is cute. Most of the staff are good - they have shortages of ice, but have a fridge they can store cold things in. The directions they offer are limited, rushed and they don't like giving them. I enjoyed the outdoor seating area with flowers, wild parrots flying around, etc., but sadly, there were smokers ruining the atmosphere for the nonsmokers. It is nice that use of the 24/7 coffee machine is free and that there is 24/7 front desk staff.

A wonderful surprise, this boutique hotel was a great place to stay while visiting Amsterdam. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms cozy and comfortable after a day on the town. It was quiet, good for a nap while recovering from jet lag. The location is great, close to interesting streets of restaurants, the main museums and the trams for visiting the rest of Amsterdam.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Gave easy understandable directions to ride bus to airport. We really enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor patio as well as the great breakfast. Older Hotel but quaint and in a good location to walk to museums, park and restaurants.

I loved the location of this hotel! It's a 20 minute bus ride from the Amsterdam central train station and just a 5 minute walk from the bus stop. You can easily walk to the less touristy and beautiful Jordaan area from the hotel! There's also a reliable and affordable airport bus right around the corner from the hotel. It's a charming old hotel which has very thin walls so if you're a light sleeper like me, you may be disturbed by your neighbour's cough, snoring,etc.

We loved everything about our stay at the Owl Hotel. It is a lovely boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. Easy walk to museums including Van Gogh, bars, restaurants, trams and canal cruises. Very lovely courtyard in the back. Breakfast was available though I didn’t eat there. A bar available for a night cap at the end of the day. And all the staff were friendly and helpful. I hope I have the opportunity to stay at the Owl again someday
