For a single bedroom, shared bath, this was perfect

This hotel room was not very clean. And the hotel in general had a smell that wasn't very pleasant. Internet worked well I just didn't like that I had to like them on facebook to join. My bedding was not clean so it was very difficult to try and sleep at night. There was a dorm fridge in the room which was nice to keep some food as I don't like to eat out all the time so I can save money. I thought the hotel was kind of expensive for the amenities that were provided. I stayed in much nicer hotels on my trip that were $40 cheaper per night. Location was ok. It took 10-15 minutes to walk to Dam square or to the museums or train station.

It was fine--the room was small, hotel was in a great location, staff was very very helpful and friendly. good for one night but very standard amenities.

This hotel is in a great location, with easy access everywhere. The hotel rooms are small and we choose one that shares a bathroom to cut cost. After all you are in Amsterdam....and I doubt you intend to spend time hanging around the hotel! If you are a princess and need fancy furniture and wall decor this is not the hotel for you. But if you came to Amsterdam to see the city and enjoy yourself while spending your hard earned cash on debauchery and not on a hotel, you have found the right place. It is a modest room and hotel, but very comfortable and clean and the staff is very friendly.

A great short stay place. Location is convenenient to everything. Rooms are small, as they are in many European independent hotels. The hotel is up a steep flight of stairs from ground level and the entrance is between two restaurants extending into Rembrandtplein. Air conditioning not present and this would be a problem in hotter months. Our room smelled like french fries due to the exhausts from the adjoining restaurants outside our window. If you are looking for location and price, this is it. If you must have conveniences such as a lift, fridge, microwave and A/C, then go elsewhere.

The hotel is perfectly located, easy access to the main attractions in AMS. However, rooms are very small, old, but the staff is nice and kind.

This hotel is mostly for young people who can normally afford to stay in a hostel but want they're own room. The location is next to a party area (lots of noise at all times!) and the room I stayed in had to use the floor's shared bathroom and shower. Plus the stairs are incredibly steep and staying on the third floor is quite a workout. Still, the price compared to what hostels wanted wasn't too expensive and if you are in Amsterdam for a good time the location is great. Just don't expect a quaint relaxing place.

do not go!!!

The hotel is a little smelly. There is this old cigarette stench in the hotel. Also keep in mind that it is has limited ventilation and can be pretty warm inside in the summer. The location is great though, right in the middle of Amsterdam. You can walk or bike everything from there.

The hotel is in a great location, just off the tram stop from Central Station. It's in a plaza, however, with tons of night clubs and bars that stay open all night. Plus, there's no a/c so with the windows open it's VERY loud. Also, BTW, there are no elevators in Amsterdam so be prepared to carry your luggage!

This was a great location. Easy walking to everything. Great restaurants right in front of the Hotel. Great music late into the night. The thing that bothered us was the all night talking the next night. No air conditioning. No elevator--very steep stairs. Bed was not comfortable. Tram to Central station across the street. Great staff, good English very friendly. Excellent coffee.
