Excellent location close to museums and tram stop.

The location is great; the staff goes the extra mile to ensure you have a great visit to Amsterdam. They are Very helpful by buying tickets for museums, transportation and providing useful information about the area.

Great staff and perfect location. Comfortable and very clean.

Hotel Aalders is a small hotel in two converted adjacent brownstones on a quiet street in the heart of the museum district. The lobby is tiny leading to very steep stairs, however there is an elevator. Our room was upgraded and was terrific with a small balcony off the back. Clean, attractive and stylish. There is a very small, helpful staff who gave us great guidance on using public transportation and setting up canal boat tour. Breakfast room elegant and wonderful selections. I only gave the facilities at 4 as this is a small hotel without all the amenities such as exercise room etc you might find in a larger hotel. Some of the hallways are narrow and difficult to negotiate with a suitcase. For us, this was part of the charm, but could be an issue for someone with limited mobility. We will look to stay here again when we return to Amsterdam.

We arrived early in the morning and were greeted with a smile and coffee! We were checked in quickly, and given an upgraded room. They then allowed us to go to our room ahead of the scheduled time, so nice! The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood near the museums and canals, perfect for walking. We were given a map and directions to begin our excellent adventure!
