Modern, clean hotel, which could be called a ‘hotel garni” - offers room and breakfast but does not have the usual big hotel infrastructure. The reception is on the fourth floor, there is no lobby. However, it’s very comfortable, and we did appreciate the free water and beer in the minibar, and the free coffee, tea and fruits (available all day) in the breakfast room. The double rooms are very comfortable, the single room was somewhat small, but good for a few nights’ stay. The bathroom has a good shower, although if you are not careful you may easily flood the floor of the bathroom, because the shower box is not closed. The breakfast is excellent, complete with freshly prepared egg dishes, pancakes, excellent ham and cheese, espresso coffee and good selection of tea. Service is extremely polite and efficient. Good location, lots of restaurants nearby, the Zouk and the Fiko (within a few minutes walk) are highly recommended.
This is an unusual set up that works well. Our room was separate from the hotel reception and breakfast room but this was fine. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was modern and smartly decorated with a comfortable bed. The local area has a good range of bars and shops and is within walking distance of the canal belt.
Very strange, hard to find the entrance, staff were all sick, not their fault, but bit grim to be met with sickness complaints, couldn’t find our booking so had to call client to find it (meanwhile they found it) Modern & quite cool room, but smelled of effluent .. couldn’t sleep so checked out day early. Would have checked out then but too late
We travelled to Amsterdam as 2 friends for a short weekend away. This hotel was perfect for a number of reasons. Firstly, I note people have commented on the setup of the hotel, this being in a shared building. This does seem somewhat strange but I thought it was great because it felt very secure as you needed swipe card access at various points within the hotel, including the corridor leading to your specific room. This brings me onto the next point; the room. Upon check-in, we were informed that there was a room available but the one we had been provisionally allocated was larger so had the option to check in at 10:30am (which is when we arrived) or wait until the recommended check-in time of 3pm and have the larger room. We opted to wait, and wow, the room was fabulous and very spacious. We were told this was the junior suite but we had actually only booked a deluxe double. Our room number was 329, so it was on the floor below reception, which was on floor 4 of the shared building. Another perk of staying at the Amadi Park Hotel was the coffee machine in the room plus free tea and coffee in the reception/small breakfast area. This was a great touch when heading out as you could make your favourite hot drink in a takeaway cup. My friend is vegan and they even had non-dairy alternatives for her available on request for her cup of tea. The staff also allowed us to enjoy the perks of this right until we departed Amsterdam at around 5pm (despite checking out at 1pm). We asked staff for a late check out and they said it was not possible beyond 2pm but we could check out at 1pm instead of 12pm for no extra charge, which was brilliant. This brings me into the final point which is probably the most important; the staff. The staff, from day one, could not do enough to help. They encouraged questions, handed out multiple maps with drawn directions and indications for public transport and resolved any query quickly and efficiently, but all with such a friendly manner. We felt very at home here in the Amadi Park Hotel and we only have the staff to thank for that. Alper was on reception for much of our stay and we would like to thank him for his friendly attitude and invaluable advice on all things Amsterdam. I would like to mention all staff but I am afraid I did not manage to catch all their names, as everyone was very helpful. Location-wise, it depends what you want to do. This hotel is ideal for visiting the nearby museums, but also the Leidseplein area of the centre as it is only a 10 minute walk. The red light district and central station are further but can easily be accessed by frequent teams, for which there is a stop less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. All in all a fabulous stay and would definitely stay here again.
Lovely hotel, and the service is amazing! Free mini bar in room, with beer, soft drinks and water replenished everyday, a lovely touch. Free soft drinks, tea and coffee in the breakfast area any time of day. Breakfast was lovely and very healthy. The rooms were lovely and clean how ever a little cold, but it was very cold outside when we went, -2 some days so I don’t think it could be helped. Toiletries in the shower. Great hairdryer. Coffee machine and plenty of plugs (even an english compatibile one). The staff are very good and all were informative and knowledgable about there gorgeous city! Loads of restaurants around and good transport links to the centre. We had a great holiday ! €35 standard charge for a taxi to airport which we thoroughly get was very good!
I just got home last night from my stay at Amadi Park Hotel (29th Jan - 1st Feb). My boyfriend and I found this hotel on Amoma by looking at 4 or 5 star hotels at the lowest price and we found this one. We liked it because it was only a 5/10 minute walk to Leidseplein. The hotel is inside a residential complex. It's a bit strange BUT don't let it put you off because the service was fantastic, the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely with a big bed, so comfortable, and a gorgeous rain shower with great water pressure! Something which you really appreciate after walking around all day. We got a balcony which was great as I smoke (note that you cannot smoke weed in the building but that didn't bother us). You also get a mini fridge which the staff restock every day free of charge - what hotel does that!! We were so impressed! If you're thinking about staying here, give it a go. It's so close to the museums and Leidseplein. You feel safe with 24h security and all the lovely extras in the room. Will definitely come back, thanks Amadi!!
Stayed here for 4 days. Lovely room cleaned every day. Complimentary drinks in fridge. Nice comfortable bed had good nights sleep. Staff were lovely and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. Close to most attractions plenty of cafes bars and restaurants in walking distance.hoping to be going back soon ..
I stayed together with two friends in a triple bedroom for two nights. The staff was extremely helpful, they gave us plenty of good tips on bike rental, restaurants, bars and other. The room was clean, had a modern decor and a view of the canal and trees outside the floor-to-ceiling window. It had a complimentary minifridge with sodas, water and beers that was refilled throughout our stay. Also tea and coffee in the room. The location near Vondelpark made it easy to reach other destinations in the city by foot and bike. We had a lovely stay here and I would recomend others a visit.
Clean rooms, comfy beds, friendly staff, perfect location to get around the town. Went for a friends 40th and this was the perfect hotel for us. Special thanks to Lionel, (night shift manager) for his hospitality when we came back in need of pizza and a couple more drinks in the bar! Top man, great service, made our stay even better. Would definitely stay here again.
Inside a building, quite hard to find, but very modern and confortable. Excellent position 10 minutes walk from Leidseplein and with tram stops at 5 minutes. Staff very kind, the cleaning staff not so clever, you have to ask for everything. A good place.
