The Good: i stayed here for 10 nights and had a good time. I'll start by saying that the staff was awesome, they're very friendly and helpful. The location is great, furthest I had to walk to do anything was 20 minutes. The Bad: Being from another continent I was extremely dependent on Wifi, which didn't work in my room. I could get a signal in the hallway but not in my room (brand new IPhone 7+) room service didn't change my sheets. On the days I did allow them into my room they simply made my bed and dropped off clean towels. The rooms are very dated, which I didn't mind since it was clean but it was a bit beat up. The breakfast was a bit frightening, fresh fruits were good but anything that was cooked was pretty bad (I'm not picky in the slightest) All in all the facility is fair AT BEST but the staff and location make it worth while. I'm not sure how hotels of the equivalent price are in Amsterdam, but I feel like there was plenty of room for improvement.

Really like the location of the hotel. Reception was great at check out. Room size was average for Europe: the thin synthetic carpeting was stained and pretty gross. Breakfast was great, large selection. Silverware had hair on it one morning and another morning a fly shot out of the juice machine.

Walls paper thin and shower is cramped. Room is small.

service on the breakfast buffet was nice, attention on the front desk could be even better. but the room that we had 107 was very noisy we could hear everything on the hallway and the room next to us and the elevator moving. i did not mention anything because we mostly were outside on the nights but maybe very annoying for another guest.

Got the smallest / cheapest room. Was perfect for my stay of 3 nights. Location is amazing, quick walk from Centraal. Air Conditioning was perfect, WIFI was touchy, staff was great.

I only stayed there for couple of nights. I arrived quite early in the morning after no sleep for 2 nights, but the staff basically didn't care to offer me a room earlier than the usual check time. Other than that, it was alright. the room was quite tiny but I really didn't care as I was mainly there for sight seeing.

If it's just you and need a place to sleep- great value for the money. Great location, very small room. Staff and breakfast was excellent. I had no intention of being in the room...so overall it did just what I wanted.

The location is great, but the room was just a small little box, even for European standards

This hotel is in a great location and very close to the central train station. Good breakfast buffet.

Spent one night there in a very busy date. Good value for money, great location and excellent staff service. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

Hotel very clean. Within downtown area but location is very quiet. Preferred hotel while in Amsterdam.

Hotel is a good location. Best to catch the tram to the train station if you have luggage. Wifi is good, service is good. Bathroom seems old and run down though.

The location is excellent but my room was kinda small and being a large person 6'4" it wasn't very comfortable. Excellent breakfast.

Stayed one night. Staff was great, room was average, breakfast was better than usual. Only issues were TV channel selection in room was awful, and perhaps a visit from pest control will help with the mice.

This hotel is very close to many exciting parts of Amsterdam. Everything I wanted to see was a comfortable walking distance away. Anything else, was easily accessible by tram.

I don't know which was worse: the total lack of service, the absence of any amenities (including a single bar of soap), the lack of adequate light for reading (even in the daytime), et cetera. The hotel probably beats a bench in the park, but not by much.

The hotel has a great location, 2 blocks from the main train station, close to the canal downtown area and Dam square. Breakfast wasn't the best, but there was a lot of variety and they did not run out of things. Staff was very helpful and multi-lingual. Room was clean but had no extra amenities such as a hair dryer or an iron. Good value for the price.

This is a good 3 star hotel. Location is excellent. Rooms and public areas are clean and well appointed. Breaksfast was good.

close to everything and easy walking distance from the central train station. A super breakfast!!

I spent two nights in the Avenue and it was a good value for the price. The location was awesome with perfect walk distances to the train, bars, shopping and museums. The staff varied from extremely friendly to extremely smug. I would definitely stay there again.
