We booked this room because it was cheaper compared to other locations closer to the city centre, but really, was still more expensive than we wanted to spend for 3 nights. This was a little further than we would’ve liked but we enjoyed walking. Rooms are small, but that doesn’t bother us. Our bed was broken, it basically rolled both of us to the middle.

Amazing location and staff is super friendly and generous. Our main issue was the room itself. There was very little storage space (no shelves, no bedside tables, our clothes had to stay in our suitcases). The bathroom also lacked basic hooks or hangers (nowhere to hang a towel). In addition, the lighting was very dim and overly orange, which made the room feel dark and uncomfortable after sunset. In summary, great location and service, but uncomfortable room.

The staff was very enthusiastic and helpful. The location is amazing and within walking distance to several tram stations. This hotel is very dated and looks like it once an upon a time was a very nice hotel. However, the drains smelled when we arrived. I am not sure if this is typical of Amsterdam but this caused the room to smell. The floors aren't cleaned and very apparent that they do not clean under the bed because we found old socks under the bed. There were no bed bugs, the linen was fine but overall, the rest of the room wasn't the best well kept. There was dust in different corners. I don't think I will come back.
