The staff was SUPPER SUPPER friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Hotel was nice and clean in a great location. Rooms were a bit small but it's Europe.

Generally speaking, we enjoyed our stay at the Westcord City Centre Hotel in Amsterdam. They would like to be regarded as a 4-star property, but they are not there... yet. Why not? Rooms are small, at least the ones our friends & we had. Still, they were very functional once we learned to navigate. The front desk staff was excellent - both friendly and highly accommodating. Wish we could say the same of the room cleaning folks. Each day some little part of replenishing the room supplies was not completed, so we had to trek downstairs for soap, towels, coffees, cups, sweeteners, etc.. This became annoying after a while. So 5 stars to front desk & 3 to housekeeping. Location was great! 5-6 minutes to Central Station or New Church & Palace; 1/2 minute to multiple tram lines; 10+ to Anne Frank House. We did not do the breakfast - it was large and quite pricey. Suggestions for a true 4-star rating: train & monitor housekeeping staff. Take eating table(s) out of the lobby & decorate it better. Use that large eating area to have a cafe of your own (we got weary of always having to go out). Include breakfast within the room rate, even if it's a bit less food.

This is a very convenient hotel. It is close to everything and extremely safe. The staff is beyond helpful and always very friendly.

This was my first visit to the Netherlands. The staff were friendly, wonderful and would spend time with me to make sure my stay was as great as it could be with helpful directions, recommendations and suggestions. I forgot to bring my American/European voltage converter, but they lent me one so I could keep my phone charged. This hotel is also very centrally located to all the things you want to see and do in Amsterdam. The breakfast was also very good (though a tad expensive). OK, so now the downside. This was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The bed was a twin, and I have not slept in a twin since my college days. This was an adjustment as I am a big guy, but after the first night, I got used to it. Overall, I recommend this hotel. American travelers, in particular, may have some difficulty in adjusting to the size of the rooms, but the helpfulness of the staff and the central location make up for it. By the way, it's very clean and quiet.

Great location, very small room, but everything else was great.

The staff was very helpful. The rooms are very small, but clean. There was an nespresso machine in the room. The bathroom was ver small, but adequate.

The location was perfect near central station & on tram line . Rooms were clean with comfortable beds, but a small with a unusual setup. Staff went ou of their way to help with suggestions for my adult daughters & I especially Kay & Sanita.

The Hotel and Staff.....the BEST after nearly 35 years! After many stays in 5 star nearby hotels Westcord Citycenter is my only choice.

Location, location, location! 5 minute walk to Central Station, Red Light district and Dam Square. Wonderful staff, extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The room was very clean and nice, with an extremely comfortable bed. The only true downside was that the room was very, very small - not an extra inch to spare! Bathroom had a cool clear glass sink and instant HOT water. Very good value overall - will stay there again!

The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was very clean. Other than that we weren't impressed. I had reserved a double bed. When we got there all they had available was 2 twins pushed together, which ended up being really uncomfortable. A double bed opened up in the middle of our trip and they offered for us to move, but it was easier to stay where we were. They room layout was weird and there wasn't much space. I am used to small rooms in European hotels, but if they had payed more attention to the spacial arrangement it would have opened up the room a lot. They also squeezed the toilet between the sink and shower, so if was weird to manuever around in the bathroom.

Decent location, depending on what you want to do in Amsterdam. Was a decent walk to the Anne Frank Museum, Heineken Experience, and I Amsterdam sign. Was close to coffee shops, shopping areas, and red light district. Room was very small, but clean. Wasn't too pricey, but I stayed Thursday/Friday.

It was nice and the location was perfect. You are two to four blocks from everywhere inside the canal rings. The remodel was done quite nicely. Hot water, clean comfortable bed, tv, wi-fi, etc. I would stay here again.

This hotel is located in a perfect location just down the street from the Crowne Plaza and other more expensive hotels. It had everything you need for a short stay. Tidy room, clean showers and located in the heart of all the action. There was no mini bar in the room itself, but there were snacks (healthy ones too!!) for sale 24/7 in the lobby. Overall, had a very pleasant stay- would definitely stay here again!

The location of this hotel is great as it is a short walk from Centraal station, a bunch of trams right on the block, and on a quiet block near many not so quiet streets. The room was small but laid out that it was comfortable. Overall a very good value, clean, and safe. Great pick for a low maintenance couple or travelling singles.

Nice, affordable location, and conveniently located a short walk from the station. Great if you're in town for only a day or two, as I was.

Excellent. I would recommend this hotel to others.

It was close to major everything and Red Light Square :) rooms are a little tiny but location is key and clean...

Prime Location. Very friendly staff. Right in the heart of the city. Bathroom/shower was fantastic
