Room was as expected for a Comfort Suites. Lots of road construction, so exits from I40 to hotel were closed. Maybe that's why price was lower than some others. Carpet in room looked newer. Bed was comfortable (king size). One odd thing is there were zero towel racks in the bathroom. They were doing some renovation also so may be updating the bathroom. Breakfast was nothing special...as expected for continental at this type of hotel. Beware of the charge for the safe! They happily took it off, but really why add it in the first place. It's an irritant.
We spent one night at this hotel. There were no problems with the stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is quiet even though it is right off the Interstate. We had no problems with construction in the area and were able to access the hotel easily. The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the pool. The water had a soapy like film on it and you could not see to the bottom of the pool in the deep end (6 feet). There is also a hot tub, The sofa bed was already made up when we pulled it out, which was helpful. The room also had a ceiling fan in it, which you don't often see in properties like this. Bottom line - there are nicer places in Amarillo, but the price was good, the location was convenient, and the room was fine.
The room was OK and the bed was fine. The sofa bed was broken and the room had no linen sheets or spread for the sofa bed. The staff sent us some but questioned if we had taken them. We just got there and already were being questioned?????
Traveling with my husband and grandkids. Kids wanted to swim. I wanted indoor pool. Hotel looked nice and clean. Pool was disgusting and green. My husband would not allow the kids to get in. Still we tried to stay the next night in Brownwood but looked at the pool before booking and walked out. That pool was worse. Once the stunning pictures are taken of the pool it does not appear that they are ever cleaned. Otherwise the accommodations are satisfactory. I am totally turned off.
Right off interstate and easy to get to. Older Comfort Inn but very clean. We stayed on the first floor and there was a large group of people outside late on Friday evening that were pretty noisy but other than that the hotel was not overly noisy. No usb ports in our room so glad we had adapters with us.
Nice big room (king suite) but had a funny smell like vinegar or dill pickles had been spilled. NE I-40 in Amarillo does have a Cracker Barrel next to it that was handy . All was good except for road work detours made the one way streets somewhat tricky.
Imagine the setting. A dark, rainy night in Amarillo. My girlfriend and I were weary travelers after a long drive from Tulsa. A massive thunderstorm rolled in and we had 4 more hours to go until Albuquerque. Fortunately this hotel was offering a room at a reasonable rate and we decided to stay there for the night. The King sized bedroom was recently remolded, along with the rest of the property as well. The room was roomy and was rather comfortable. The breakfast was satisfying as well, it had eggs, sausage and various assorted pastries and fruits. My girlfriend and i were pleased with our overnight stay and I recommend this property to any weary travelers on.
I used my points for our last night of vacation. We booked this hotel and it was VERY AFFORDABLE. It's always a gamble when you book before seeing. With this gamble, we hit the JACKPOT. An incredible 2 room suite and that was a total surprise. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud and the rooms were clean, fresh and totally modern. Why can't all hotels be like this one? Perfect staff, breakfast and a total joyous experience to top off our terrific vacation.
You can tell the people who work here are proud of their hotel. The room was wonderful - a king bed and a sofa bed, fridge, microwave, coffee service. Bed was very very comfortable with plenty of pillows and a ceiling fan overhead. Minerva at breakfast was the BEST. She worked with moms traveling with little children to help them get breakfast and high chairs. the only downside: the SLAMMING DOORS. Oh my heavens. It started at 6:30 am up and down the hall. The whole wall shook. Something to soften the blow would be good. The noise level was fine at other times, except people letting their bratty children run screaming up and down the hall. Yes - I have children, so I can complain.
This was the best and cheapest hotel of our whole trip! The rooms are HUGE and there is even a bar. They also offer complimentary drink and dinner at 530 a few nights out of the week. The ONLY complaint I have is after hiking for 7 days I REALLY was ready for a spa. Once I got in the water was sooooo cold. When I told the staff they immediately came to assess the problem. The heater was turned back on but an hour later it still wasn't warm enough for me. I would definitely stay here again!
