Comfort Inn & Suites2.5 out of 5.0

This was the best and cheapest hotel of our whole trip! The rooms are HUGE and there is even a bar. They also offer complimentary drink and dinner at 530 a few nights out of the week. The ONLY complaint I have is after hiking for 7 days I REALLY was ready for a spa. Once I got in the water was sooooo cold. When I told the staff they immediately came to assess the problem. The heater was turned back on but an hour later it still wasn't warm enough for me. I would definitely stay here again!
My wife, two other couples, and I stayed at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Amarillo along I-40E after a long drive of more than 600 miles. It was a very convenient place to stop. The rooms were well-appointed, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We slept well and were on our way after their very hearty breakfast. We would stay there, again, on our next trip through Amarillo.
Greeted with a smile. Close to tge Big Texan restaurant. Which was awesome since we ate entirely too much and was ready to shut down for the night. Room was clean. Quiet location right off I 40. Will definitely stay again.
We stayed here after tornado warnings thought the day. The front desk made us feel completely at ease.the room was clean, comfortable and welcoming. The environment was quiet and comforting. Breakfast was fine with an attendant that did not miss anything.
We stopped overnight on our way to Santa Fe. This is one of the nicest Comfort Suites we have visited. The clerk at the front desk was friendly and helpful. There was free food and ice cream as well as free margaritas in the bar from 4 to 6 (I think those were the hours). Everyone working there was friendly and went out of their way to do everything to make our stay a pleasant one. The room was large and clean. We have already booked a room there on our return trip. The only negative is they are working on I40 in this area and the I40 West on ramp was closed. We ended up having to go east a few miles, cross over and then get on I40west....but I'm sure this construction won't last long.
We were in town for a Graduation, as this is the time of year for those sort of things and spent three restful, quiet nights here. My good impressions began when we first checked in as we were immediately greeted with a smile from the girl behind the front counter. Stephanie was very friendly and respectful and very expediently took down the required preliminaries and had us with keys, directions to our room, and information regarding our breakfast in no time at all. Our room was located on the second floor, towards the side entrance and I immediately feared that the noise from either the door buzzer or other guests would impede our rest after our long drive from El Paso....my fears were unfounded for the night was quiet and noise free. Our room was clean, and well stocked, with an electric range top, microwave, toaster, and even plates and glasses! It smelled of being fresh and clean, which was just what we needed after having driven for 7 hours. After a restful sleep, we awoke fresh and...quite hungry! Our breakfast consisted on scrambled eggs, juice and toast, as this is what we picked out from the varied items being offered. Breakfast hit the spot, no complaints there!! Located in a very ideal place, we were close to the Mall, and many eating establishments which we hoped to have time to visit during our brief stay. The other 2 nights? Repeats of the first...quiet, restful, and our room was kept well serviced with fresh and clean towels. All quite excellent. Checkout was a breeze, and in no time our stay in Amarillo had come to an end. To be sure, there is no reason to look elsewhere for our next Amarillo stay, as there were amenities that we did not even have time to use. Namely, the pool and exercise room which looked well cared for and inviting. All in all, we left Amarillo with pleasant memories of the Comfort inn, and surely will be back again.
Enjoyed the stay here, rooms were recently redone and it was clean. Easy access from the freeway, but no restaurants within walking distance . It was a bit noisy because of the location, so I would try to get a room further to the back of the hotel. It was nice that they had a bar in the lobby area.
Very accommodating - got us transportation to an interesting restaurant. Although they were refurbishing all rooms, they had the construction well blocked off so no one was inconvenienced. Our room was completed and very nice.
We stayed 2 nights on our way home to the east coast from our trip to Colorado in 8:2016. We stayed 2 nights. Our room was clean comfortable & breakfast was fine. It was a bit small area to eat in but just fine. We ordered tickets online to see the local musical TEXAS & the clerk was super helpful when I needed to get online to print off our tickets & information. It's always wonderful when you have good helpful staff!!
The GM, Larry was the friendliest man we have seen in the hotel industry. So informative about the Amarillo area. Had great suggestions for us to do. We just stopped for the night but stayed two just to see the area, and what a surprise Amarillo and the Panhandle was. The women at the front was not a disappointment either. The manager has trained his staff well and you can tell by everyone's friendly attitude they love their job. The managers reception was great and so were the free drinks. We will be back most definitely.
