While driving home to Florida from the Grand Canyon, I stopped here with my family for an overnight stay on a Friday evening. Check in was quick and easy, the room was very clean, beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very quiet. We got a great nights sleep and a decent breakfast before checking out and getting back on the road. A big thank you to Olaf. Two hours after departing I realized I left my camera battery and charger in the room. I called the hotel and Olaf put me on hold while he ran up to the room to check. He found it verified my address and said they will get it in the mail. That's service!
We recently stayed at the Sleep Inn Airport on our way through Amarillo. Rooms were basic but clean. Breakfast was average with some hot and cold items available. The indoor pool was cold but the hot tub was just right. Great for the price you pay.
My husband stayed here last night and said it was wonderful. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and comfy bed. He has back problems from botched prior surgery, but he said he slept very well on their bed. We will stay here any time we are in Amarillo. Once the construction is completed, it will be so much easier to get off the highway to this property.
Clean room, good breakfast, good service at check-in and check-out. Will stay here my next trip through Texas. Trains do not bother me but some people may be annoyed by the trains. Easy access of I-40 even with the current road work.
Choice Hotels location which is quiet and convenient for visiting Palo Duro Canyon. Check-in was quick, the breakfast selection was excellent and the room was clean. My shower head dripped and the television volume went from low to loud with one click, but overall it's a good choice for a solo traveler.
Easy to get to location and close to restaurants. Rooms were okay for the stay. Pool and spa area a little disappointing. Normal Sleep Inn breakfast type was good but food was being re-filled and was cold. Believe the front desk person was handling this so it was not being staffed appropriately. Good value hotel for an overnight stay.
First off, the hotel gal who checked us in was very friendly and professional. The hotel was listed as a smoke-free property online, but it didn't smell like that at all. Maybe the hotel allowed smoking before the remodel? Anyway, that was hard to get past, but it was just one night on our way back from Colorado. Appropriate price for size. We arrived late for check in, had dinner next door at cracker Barrell, but didn't get to use pool, as it closed at 10pm. We stayed on the west side of the hotel, and it was quiet. Breakfast was so so, interesting combinations of items. Hash browns were soggy, biscuits were hard, eggs were a patty, but the danish items were good. Small area to sit at, felt rushed to allow other families to eat bc they were waiting. Overall fair priced hotel, no frills.
We stayed just one night,I had a early morning flight. Our room was on the first floor as I requested. It was clean and comfortable but small for two people. I was surprised since I stayed at other Sleep Inns but was only going to be there one night. In the morning we ask for coffee,it looked like the breakfast was ready but we only wanted coffee. The girl working in the breakfast room told my friend not until 6:00am,I did not know he ask and I went and ask and she said not until 5:30. Other Sleep Inns near the airport offer coffee early morning to guest departing. The girl working acted like she just did not want to do anything. My friend dropped me at the airport came back to the hotel they did have coffee but he said it was not good. Eggs cold, gravey cold. Found it interesting there was a guest drinking coffee that evening in the breakfast room but no coffee in the morning. I think it was just the employee lack of working and not caring about guest since other Sleeps Inns have a nice breakfast. The desk clerk was great at check in no problems. I travel often to Amarillo and this was my first stay at this hotel not sure about another stay.
This hotel was excellent. The staff are all super nice and our room was perfect! Very very clean and not a thing out of place! Has a large shower with no tub. Very nice modern room. Would highly recommend! We're going to stay again on our drive back.
Stayed at a Sleep Inn in another city and regretted it but this stay was very nice. Quiet hotel even though it was close to the interstate. Heard the train go thru town and couple of times at night but I sort of liked that. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was also very good. Nice no frills place to stay!
