Check in time is 4pm, I got there at 4:10 and was told my room wasn't ready. I was given a lame excuse that the hotel was booked solid and the staff didn't get to it yet. I was told I would receive a call when my room was ready. By 6pm, I still didn't receive a call so I went back to the check in desk to inquire. Surprise! My room was finally ready but no one bothered to let me know. I asked if I would receive any compensation being that I was gypped out of 2 1/2 hours. No, but she said I could have a coupon for a free drink if I wanted. A drink. The next day, I left my room for 4 hours. I had requested service for the room to be made up. When i came back, it was exactly as I left it. I've been coming to Wind Creek for years, since it was called Sands and I've never seen this kind of unprofessional practices. Plus 2 hours wait for room service with mediocre, dry scrambled eggs, burnt toast and burnt bacon. The hotel may have had a big renovation but I feel it's going down hill.
