We had driven in the snow and sleet for several hours prior to arrival so the warmth and welcome of the staff and the beautiful living room were an unexpected pleasure. We sat and had tea and cookies after unpacking. It was just what we needed. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Wonderful and memorable stay.
If you want to go somewhere that makes you feel like you are away but home, this is the place. It feels like you have been invited to a best friend's home. The charm and history more than make up for any lack of amenities--plus it's within walking distance to a wide range of restaurants, bars, specialty shops, museums, etc. This place ranks at the top for us.
Shout out to Jean who waited up for my very late arrival due to flight cancellations and delays. Staff as great. This will be my base whenever I return to the office in Bethlehem. Beautiful, comfortable and great location.
A beautifully preserved property with the most welcoming, wonderful staff!
Hotel overall is great, excellent staff who are super friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfasts! The room was fantastic, and we had a nice view of downtown Bethlehem. The only thig I would say that needed changing was the mattess in my room, which was a bit worn and had a huge indentataion, making it pretty weird and uncomfortable.
We loved the setting and the ambience of this large (over 30 rooms) B&B that still seemed to be able to capture the personal touches of the smaller homes. This Victorian Mansion (over 150 years old) has had an amazing upgrade that offered "real" bathrooms and showers in the room (which is not always the case in the older B&Bs). The wifi was excellent. The antique furniture was authentic enough to maintain the ambience. The only reason I did not give it a 5 on all areas was that we simply could not regulate the temperature in our guest room (it stayed at a cool 68 - during a cold and rainy week!) no matter what we did with the controls. During our two-day stay, our room was not serviced at all - beds not made, trash not emptied, etc. We had fresh towels dropped off. I am not sure whether full service of rooms was included or not, but it should have been. Given the other amenities and professionalism of the staff, I would guess this was an abnormality, but it was our experience regardless. The hot breakfast was incredible! Not only was it served in an elegant dining room, but a daily menu included three hearty entrees. Additional fresh baked pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, granola and juices were available. Absolutely the best B&B breakfast I have ever had - bar none! Overall, I would highly recommend this establishment.
Reasonably priced, convenient location, clean and quiet. Staff was very courteous and helpful. We could not have asked for a better place to stay.
