Property is nice. My only complaint is I was not aware there wasn't a continental breakfast. My son and I sat down and had a Danish a piece and coffee and OJ and then were brought a bill for $25.
The room was huge and the staff was sooooo friendly.
Took two 10 minute showers right after each other. The hotel ran out of hot water before the second shower began.
Shawn checked us in and was really great. We were met with a smiling face and friendly attitude. The room was clean but the sound of the freeway is overwhelming. They do provide ear plugs on the nightstand but these become very uncomfortable. If we stayed again it would be on the opposite side not facing the freeway as neither myself or my wife were able to sleep.
Fair warning to out-of-town travelers: don't plan for a late arrival. I had a mid-evening flight to Albuquerque, got a rental car, and drove straight to the airport (about 20 minutes away, since there was no traffic). I arrived about five minutes after ten, only to be told that the hotel's kitchen and even the bar were already closed. No exceptions. The restaurant across the street was closed. When I asked where I could get some dinner, I got blank looks. They suggested I go back to the main commercial drag and drove a few miles. The hotel looks like it's convenient, right on the highway, but this part of town (maybe all of Albuquerque) shuts down with the sun. I had to make do with Pringles and a candy bar for dinner. (On the plus side, the hotel has a decent selection of snacks, and the prices are only slightly outrageous.) The staff was fantastic: kind and helpful and empathetic. The facilities were what I'd expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. The bed was comfortable, the carpets only slightly frayed around the edges. On the second morning, the hot water somehow broke, and I was stuck with a chilly shower. So basically, nothing terrible happened, but it certainly wasn't the smooth experience I expect from generic hotel chains in the middle of mid-sized cities.
Nice place quiet and in a convenient spot close to restaurants and shopping.
My ada room was nice and big to get around in but the bathtub was hard to use and weird layout of bathroom wasn't the best. Obviously designed by someone that has use of legs. Hard to reach faucet from bench in tub and hard to get to sink. Lobby getting repairs. Will probably be fine soon.
Overall very good experience. This trip was for family party....I definitely recommended this hotel.
The hotel was clean, smelled good, and we just felt like we were in a palace. Very homely.
HGI Albuquerque Uptown was outstanding in all categories...friendly staff, great restaurant, etc... we used the guest laundry and machines worked perfectly and the room they were in was clean... most enjoyable stay!
Nice place to stay, close to freeway. People were friendly, but the breakfast was outrageously simple and too pricey. Would stay there again, but wouldn't eat in for breakfast again.
Exceptional staff was so accommodating. Would stay there again.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and always enjoy it....this time I found bugs in the bathroom...I alive that I killed, and a couple dead ones in the morning.....Unfortunate as usually I find this hotel very clean.....I will stay again, I advised the staff and am sure that it will be addressed
One word: Excellent!!!!! Very clean, beds are really comfortable; big rooms. The staff are very kind. Indoor pool was fun for us.
Great room size, wonderful pool, great price computed to surrounding hotels
Very clean, great room size and wonderful comfort. Amazing price for location
i was supposed to stay with a friend but at last minute that fell through. Walked into Marriott to a hassle free check in, great room, good rate. It's all good!
