They charged $12 extra for parking, which is ridiculous for a “motel” (“motor hotel”). They also charged a $20-ish amenity fee, which is basically a pool … so makes zero sense in winter; and really should be included in the price of the room, not a hidden fee. The lock on our door also didn’t work, and it was a struggle to get it to latch closed. We also had a single towel for both of us in the room. I think the place relies on it looking cool (which it does in person, too), but the hidden fees and poor condition are not cool.

While the outer space of the motel is adorable, bright colors, eclectic decor, the room itself left something to be desired. The room had been renovated but poorly. Again, I love the concept of the place but it was not well executed in the room itself. The straw that broke the camels back for me was the shower, the tiles had brown grout lines in places and were completely covered by grout in others. Then, I noticed the long, black hairs all over my shower wall and I was done. I hope the owners are able to put some time and attention to the rooms because they have the start of something that could be great.

An adorable and unique locally owned and operated hotel. Such a wonderful experience, original and sweetly cheeky decor. Had an amazing stay and would stay at Hotel Zazz again! The room has beds that are easy to use - I appreciated not having to use a ladder! The shower has a hand-held in addition to the rain shower. Great tea! No microwave.

Room was dirty, toilet was leaking, homeless people outside the hotel causing problems and cops showed up multiple times while we stayed there, room key did not work multiped times, changed rooms, got charged an extra fee for "good vibes and art" around the hotel, asked for refund on this and they said no, no compensation for any of the issues we were having.. No shuttle service from airport. Front desk was not knowledgeable multiple interactions with different staff, and everyone was on a different page and gave wrong information. I will never go back, it was awful.

This is a unique little motel.. not hotel like claimed. It is charming at first sight but don’t be fooled. This place is nothing but a scam! We stayed one night while oaaaing through. We literally checked in, slept, then checked out. We had two rooms with a $150 hold on our card for each room for incidentals . One of the holds released a few days later but a new charge for $300 occurred. The desk clerk informed us that it was due to a damaged door. We did notice a hole in the bathroom door the night we stayed but seeing that this is an old remodeled motel we didn’t think much of it. Well they claim that we caused the damage in which we did not! The clerk was extremely rude and refused to give us a contact to someone higher such as the owner. Upon investigating, I found a number from a review very similar to our experience( there are quite a few by the way). I left a message in voicemail and received a text right away claiming that since I left a threat I would have to take matters up with the legal team( all I did was leave a voicemail asking the owner to call me back so we could discuss the matter before I disputed it with my bank and left a negative review). When I received the text I then called the number back in which I was told that I would need to contact Their legal team. I asked how to reach the legal team and they hung up on me. They obviously scam people out of money by doing this frequently.. and I will continue to make the public aware!
