Stayed for a night and for the money you won’t get a better hotel. The hotel has benefited from its refurbishment, still areas where it could be modernised but it’s a lovely hotel now. We had no complaints, room was perfect and bed was very comfy!
The reception staff were excellent and friendly and went out of their way to talk to my son which he just loved. Rooms were excellent and the swimming pool was fab. Breakfast great and good value for money.
Very pleasant stay. Gym facilities are okay but changing rooms and sauna very good. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of choice. Very helpful staff at checkout. Will definitely stay again when on business. Looks old and dated from the outside which may put people off.
Excellent stay overall and as Arnie would say (I'll be back) from booking in to booking out it was problem free.Location was just what we wanted to get into Aberdeen either by bus or car.Ample free car parking .We did not use the good leisure facilities but we wished we had brought some swin ware.
Overall our stay was very comfortable, although feel it would be beneficial to have a gluten free alternative available and clearly signed as both myself and son require gluten free food and felt there wasn't much available or clearly signed
I stayed here with my family on a Saturday night. I booked an executive/premium family room and we weren't disappointed! The room was clean and spacious the only negative would be that there was no thermostat, just a control with 3 heating settings which meant even at 1 the room started to overheat so I had to open a window therefore never being able to regulate a constant temperature in the roo. Also a lot (4) of the lights didn't work and I'd have thought these would have been checked on a regular basis? The Spa facilities were great with a steam room, sauna, Jacuzzi and small heated pool. Although it was busy, we managed to use all of these and would highly recommend them (only 2 lights work in the steam room). We ordered food in so never used the restaurant but the breakfast was well organised with tables being turned round in super fast succession and the food of a high standard. The bar is nice and quiet with plentiful seating. There was a wedding reception on the night we stayed and even with the window open we heard nothing and were not disturbed! This place is well suited for a function with numerous suites. IIona dealt with us in reception and she was very polite and helpful, she even called us 15 minutes after check in to see if all was ok. I don't know why anybody would have the urge to leave negative feedback about this hotel as we found it so good that we will definitely stay again! They should be taken with a pinch of salt, it's a very Scottish "heritage" decor which may not suit some.... Overall from outside it looks very dated but all they could do is clad this to make it appear more modern, I'd not recommend this at all, it's best kept as a hidden gem.
This is a lovely hotel. Doesn't look great from outside, but fantastic inside. Lovely large quadruple room with large bathroom. Our kids (11 and 9) loved the room and the swimming pool. Will definitely be back.
Great room, very clean and tidy and the bed was big and confortable. Spa facilities were good, although the pool could be roudy due to kids so not the most relaxing environment. Very well priced. Unfortunately the food let it down. Would recommend staying but I would eat out.
Staff very good and facilities very good. Would be good if sample menu available online for DBB and also would be better if full menu also available with supplement payable . Location very handy when travelling from north or south
Stayed here for 1 night for hubby's birthday, had an excellent stay, staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely amazing with very good quality ingredients. Rooms are lovely with very big comfy beds and are spotless. Leisure facilities are a great extra too.
