Tennessee Adventure Vacation Packages

Room quality & style were much better than expected given the age of the building. Rooms are well appointed & bathroom was awesome. Would suggest adding some hooks or shelf so we had somewhere to put clothes while showering (sink was outside of the restroom) and to hang towels. Beds were extremely comfortable; shower was hot and AC worked wonderfully.

Room was clean. The staff was EXTREMELY polite and helpful. The breakfast was not much at all. Area for breakfast was small. Parking was fine . They advertise about being pet friendly. That is a joke. I let them know we were bring two emotional support animals with us. Not one time did they tell us it would be $40 extra a night, per dog, until we checked in. That is a big price for 3 nights when not expecting it. They don't consider emotional support dogs as service dogs even tho we had paperwork. People need to know this upfront! If we had not stayed there they said they don't refund it was up to insurance and they may or may not reimburse us. So had no choice but to pay extra money. There is also no where acceptable because of landscaping that has grass for dogs to use bathroom. They had a small smoking area and warn us a lot if caught anywhere else instant charge on card. But no one complained about the pot being smoked every time you went inti hallway to get on elevator. I understand smoking is a no no for some people but there needs to be more areas for smokers and ashtrays available. There is plenty of outdoor spaces under cover for this. Will not go back to Rivers Edge

We didn’t know that this complex was split and many of the rooms are in another set of buildings a block up the street. This made it impossible to use any of the amenities such as the pool, hot tub, gym, without getting in your car and driving a block down the street. Fortunately we were able to move to the main complex but we had to downsize our room because that’s all that was available. The irony was that the hot tub was so small, like 4 people max, that it was hard to find a time it was available. The indoor pool room was unfortunately so hot that using the pool was not refreshing. Also be warned that you will not get a garage pass until you sit with a representative that wants to setup a time share presentation. There was no pressure but I was still uncomfortable as I’ve been in this situation before when it was uncomfortable so I’m programmed to just tense up. The room was okay and it was quiet except for one evening the fire alarm went off and we all exited our rooms until the ear shattering alarm was turned off by the fire department. We had light bulbs out and sheet rock falling off the wall above our heads because something that was wall mounted was torn off and not repaired. Vacations should be relaxing and Gatlinburg is wonderful and can be fulfilled with activities or relaxing with nature walks. Unfortunately coming back in the evenings was not something we looked forward to. I’m sorry to say.
