Recent reunion trip to Scranton

The front desk personnel were wonderful and great employees for your operation. The room needs a bid mor cleaning in the bathroom especially the mold and mildew on the tub. Many of the fixtures are loose and need attention by the engineering/maintenence department. the bathtub needs a mat or something that makes it non sliip. Your choice of light switches is bad. Your complimentary breakfast needs serious work, even the Days Inn and Motel 6 have you beat on this point. I must say that the height of the bed is unique but comfortable, the maids should make shure that the clocks are set correctly., a print out of what the stations are on the TV is called for. The Irons are nice but Maids should make sure that they are empty of water lease over time they cause mildew and corrosion in their tanks. One of the lamps in my room has a burnt out light bulb or the lamp itself is defective. You should have a plug for charging your phone or lap top, especially for guests who forget their adapters. The shower head is loose as is its mounting, the pipe is loose in the wall. The shower head is substandard. Sorry for my being so specific byt after 48 years in opening hotel throughout the USA, I notice things. Once again your Staff were wonderful at check in and check out.

Annoying check-in process, overall just ok

Repetitive checkin. Texted me before checkin saying to fill out some steps like payment and ID to speed the process, but when I got to the hotel they asked for all the same items so it was a waste of time. They also wouldn't just charge my debit card, honestly so annoying when you NEED a credit card for incidentals...otherwise the bed was comfy and the shower was very hot and good pressure. Clealiness wise, definitely some stray hairs and stains on the towels but overall average.

The hotel is in need of some updates. Our bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and the room was showing lots of wear. The breakfast had so few options (least I've seen in a long time). They had packaged cookies as a breakfast option. That was a first. The staff was friendly, the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. When we checked in we were warned sternly (ok by me) about the no smoking policy. Yet, as soon as we stepped off the elevator we were hit with the very strong odor of pot. The night manager did come up and check it out, but I don't think anything happened since the next morning it was still very strong. There are so many options in the local area, we plan to try another hotel on our future stay next month.

A prison is likely better than this place

Have stayed at Baymont before & swore I’d never come back. But lo & behold, I went back without realizing it was the same place. Initially I figured “how bad can it possibly be?” It’s an older hotel but they try to keep it clean. So that’s a plus. But their focus on saving a few bucks & poor customer treatment is simply bad business. For example, they have tables in the lobby. I had a conf call & decided it was quieter in lobby area so I grabbed a chair off the top of a table & was promptly told to put it back. Apparently the chairs cannot be used to sit on outside of designated breakfast hours. Great. Then breakfast came around. I was excited to finally be able to sit on those chairs! Breakfast consists of just waffles, yogurt or old cereal. They may also have packaged danish but it was empty. My husband loves coffee & can drink anything without complaining…until he experienced Baymont coffee. He likened it to lukewarm water which was run thru 2 day old coffee grounds which had been recycled 2 to 12 times. Given all this, we decided it was best to eat elsewhere. We don’t require any room cleans during our week-long stay so we’re pretty low maintenance customers. But one evening we went to front desk & asked for a single packet of sugar to use with our non-Baymont coffee. The front desk clerk explained that guests are not allowed any sugar packets after breakfast hours. And if we had an issue with that “ take it up with my manager!” Yes, I will.
