Upon arrival at this hotel, we were greeted by Bernice who was helpful and friendly. We asked for a quiet room and we were given room #204, no traffic noise. Thank you Bernice! The suite was a good size with an equipped kitchen and full size fridge. The room was very clean with a comfortable king bed. A large flat screen tv in the room swiveled so that you could easily watch it in the sitting area or the bed. Breakfast was varied with hot and cold selections. The only negative for me was the extremely loud a/c noise. I would definitely stay here again.
This hotel was convenient to traveling through, which was our main objective that night. Our room was next to the elevator, but the walls are sound proof and we never heard the elevator once! Very clean, but the mattress and pillows weren't very comfortable. Over all, satisfied.
Very close to Scranton, but also close to the Mall and many restaurants. Just off 81, so easy to get to. Check in service and breakfast service was great. Breakfast is free, and includes Eggs, Sausage, Bacon., etc. They have a Gym and a pool.
This is the worst Residence Inn we have ever stayed in and is in desperate need of a complete remodel. It features filthy carpet and floor tile grout, entry doors that need refinishing and a parking lot that one has to be careful navigating or else it is easy to tip over your luggage on the uneven surface. In addition, the trash container along the walkway into the hotel was overflowing. Our stay was in July, 2017.
My visit started out great when I went in to check in (we had booked the room about 30 minutes earlier on hotel.com) it took less than two minutes to get the keys and be on my way to the room. the room was fine, not great but definitely decent. the breakfast was excellent.
We chose this Marriott as our stopover location going from VA to NH and back, and we were so glad we did. We found the hotel to be quiet and clean, and the staff was wonderful. For us, having a full-sized coffee pot in our extended stay room was perfect and was the only one we encountered on our 10-day road trip. The bed was super-comfortable, the bathroom adequate, and the overall layout of the room was nice. The only room negative was the heat from the gas fireplace pilot light in the middle of the summer!!! Might want to shut those down and save on some gas. Breakfast area was busy as the food was great.....even had some Andouille sausage one morning. And the hotel was close to the very nice restaurant Nosh. The hotel was dog-friendly and had lots of walking areas and doggy bags available. If the doors into the hotel had auto-openers on them it would have been the perfect experience!!! And while we saw lots of folks who stayed here as extended-stay hotel patrons, we had no problem with anyone or their lifestyle while working out-of-town. Would definitely stay here again after our two night experience.
The hotel was nice and clean, the staff was helpful and friendly. Its dog friendly and close to a loy of shopping and restaurants. The down side was the cookout and drinking in the parking lot. Seems like people who live at the hotel have large tailfate parties cooking out of their trucks and drink beer which was awkward and not what you would expect at a Marriott.
Is more of an extended stay hotel and thats what we needed. We booked well in advance and, thus, got relatively good prices. Prices per night doubled in the 3 months after our reservation. The first night was horrible as we were on the highway side and the windows are not sound proof. It was as if the windows were open. The next morning we asked to be moved and, luckily, they gave us a room on the other side. Three days later, in the new room, the Air conditioning broke and we were then given a bigger room...well, I kind of pressed for the upgrade since this was the second move in 4 days. But, in the end the reception realized that the guest comes first. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, no canned! Room size great, efficiency kitchens great, Laundry room great, beds a bit on the softer side and the sofa bed was, well, a sofa bed. The fitness room is average and very small. There is no stationary bike, but 2 treadmills and an eliptical and some free weights. We didn´t use the pool. One thing was missing and that was a room safe. Personell were friendly and we will stay there again.
We were visiting family in Scranton and didn't realize graduation weekend was the same weekend. We paid over $200 for a noisy room (both from other guests as well as from the highway), which had only a queen bed and a horrible sleeper sofa. Luckily there were only three of us so the third person slept on the couch in "couch mode" as it was way too uncomfortable to sleep on as a bed. The bed itself was comfortable enough. The extra space and little kitchen were nice too, but we didn't get to use that on our short trip. The minuses far outweighed the pluses though, especially for the incredible price we paid for this room.
On a long trip, this hotel was one of my favorites. Although end of workday traffic makes for a slow arrival, it was worth the wait. Not wanting to face that traffic again, staff offered a list of restaurants that deliver - what a treat! We were traveling with our pet dog, and requested second floor, having learned that foot traffic on first floor is a challenge. Also nice is the separate bedroom with door for even more seclusion of pet from hallway noises. This property is a little worn looking but still a very good stay. Staff offer superior customer service with a smile.
