No staff onsite. Digital check in and code entry. It was more of a guest house than hotel. You could text questions to an AI “desk” but they were not onsite so were unable to answer some questions. Nice decorations. Classy vibes. It was a historic building restored. The street noise was loud. Had a Kurig coffee station. Powder creamer. Great downtown location. I prefer a hotel with actual staff. We had a nice stay but I wouldn’t likely stay there again.

Loved this place. Great location, clear communication and it was very nice. Fun to stay right downtown. Walking distance to the Gaslamp District, Petco, etc. I hight recommend!

Overall, really enjoyed our stay. We were on the second floor and for the most part, was very quiet. Was in a good location-close to fun bars, restaurants, and coffee shops. The only issues we had were the room got very hot despite there being a window AC unit and the rooftop fire pits did not work.

If you are solely looking for a place to sleep at night, this Kasa is will do. Unfortunately we did encounter blonde hairs on the mirror (neither of us are blonde ha), and a massive cockroach in the hallway as well as some small stains on the sheets. The roof top had a good view, but was not very clean. Nevertheless, the room had its own a/c unit and we appreciated the luggage storage. Very close to Petco Park. Rooftop access, but no working fire pits so bring a sweatshirt and a blanket at night.

Good for a short stay if you just need a place to sleep. The room could have been cleaner—there were visible stains on the bedding and leftover items from a previous guest, which made it feel like housekeeping wasn’t thorough. It was also quite noisy, not just from the location but from inside the building, with frequent door slamming and noticeable noise from plumbing and upstairs activity.
