very easy check-in, communication was great and the property was as expected. had everything we needed. we had a great time and made some wonderful memories. there are a lot of stores and little coffee/food places all within walking distance. convenient location and beautiful neighborhood.

Short weekend with friends

Very clean and great location. This ended up being the perfect spot to have the San Diego experience over 4th of July weekend. Nice neighborhood and very safe.

Cute, Clean, and Comfortable!

The house was very clean (my litmus test is if my socks come away clean, and they did!) and well furnished. The property owners were very communicative and were able to accommodate a last minute reservation. We really enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful home great for families

We stayed at Evan’s property with our four teenagers. Bedroom layouts were perfect. Lovely neighborhood with restaurants and a small Target in easy walking distance. Very clean and comfortable. All as stated in the description. Easy from start to finish. Highly recommend and would stay again.

Great home to stay at

It is a beautiful home. I love that they made sure everyone had enough towels by putting the amount of towels person on a bed. It easy check in and check out. The owner communicated and responded quickly when I had any questions. Would highly recommend this place.. the master showered was amazing!!

Xmas in San Diego

This house was centrally located to the cute town of South Park, play grounds, coffee shops, pharmacy and grocery all within walking distance. The neighborhood is quite, and friendly neighbors. We would stay again!

Great House, wish I could have given 5 staars

After staying home for 18 months +, our family was ready for a vacation. We carefully reviewed houses on VRBO and found this perfect location. In the description, they detail the cleaning protocols and we felt comfortable making the reservation. When we arrived the house smelled and looked clean however when I opened the cabinet in the kitchen, one glass had lipstick and another had a sticky substance and a hair on the outside of the glass. I quickly hand washed and placed all the dishes in the cabinet into the dishwasher. I also found a fork in the drawer that still had food on it. I understand this may not have been the cleaning crew but perhaps a prior guest. Given the promise of a clean house and the detailed cleaning protocols , I did have to reduce by one star. The house is exactly as picture. For a family of four (2 adults and 2 young children) this house felt like home. We only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms and there was plenty of space. The front courtyard is nice area for the kids to play while we could keep an eye on them from inside the house. Would we stay again? ABSOLUTELY!!! This is an awesome house and it met all our needs. It is spacious and is in a great neighborhood. Cute restaurants are within walking distance. We did visit the San Diego Zoo and this house is extremely close. The dirty dishes was a minor issue that was easily be resolved. Washing the dishes myself helped my reassurance that the dishes were clean.

Exceptional!

We really enjoyed our stay in San Diego at the Ivy St. property. After staying in hotels on our trip down the CA coast, it was wonderful to stay in a completely updated house in the heart of San Diego. The home is located adjacent to Balboa Park and in walking distance to great coffee shops and restaurants. It was an easy drive the San Diego beaches as well. Our host did an excellent job communicating with us and making sure we had all we needed to enjoy our stay. We highly recommend this VRBO if you ar planning a visit to SD!

Great house in great location

Great communication from the minute we made the reservation. The entire house was clean and bright. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels, dishes, etc. The house is located just a block away from Balboa park and is within walking distance to restaurants and boutique shops. The neighborhood was quiet and well established with nice neighbors. An evening in the courtyard was a perfect way to end the day. We had a wonderful, relaxing time here and would stay again. Great Spot - Attentive Host

The house was clean and beautiful, and the hosts were so polite and professional. Anytime we had questions or needed anything, they responded within 10 minutes. They also checked in to make sure we were having a good time. Nice, quiet neighborhood and an overall great trip. Thanks!

Clean and Beautifully Decorated Home in the Heart of South Park

The home was beautiful and bright -- inside and out. The simple, Scandi-designed interior added to the charm of the 1937 home. There was plenty of space for my family of six. The location was also walking distances to trails, restaurants, and shops. My family had an exceptional time at the Ivy House. And thank you to Evan, our awesome host, who provided clear communication and was available at the drop of a hat.
