Overall, it is a lovely family-friendly hotel surrounded by nature, with a very pleasant atmosphere. In the evenings, the variety of restaurants for dinner is good; however, lunch options are limited. The beach restaurant is not recommended, as we had a very negative experience seeing birds pecking at the food without proper control measures in place. For children, the kids club is small but adequate. The breakfast buffet is generally good and offers a nice variety. The rooms are very comfortable and well maintained. Additionally, the pricing options that include access to the parks are quite convenient and offer good value for money.

great beach, proximity and ease of access to xcaret park was amazing, we spent mornings at the park and afternoons at the beach; food was pretty good but not great options for vegans/vegetarians - I made do but it wasn't always easy/clear and restaurants seemed to not be able to accommodate/have vegan options; would be 5/5 if the food was better but otherwise, amazing place.

Staff was friendly and nice but amenities were awful. It was so hard to get towels restocked and we never got anything else in the restroom restocked (soap bars, vanity kits, shower caps). I waited 5 days for a bathroom mat. They also make you reserve dinners that are going to be outside the buffets but only allow you to do them 72 hours in advanced. You have to do them in person from 7am-6pm and there are no exceptions. Who has time to visit this desk with one employee and a line out the door 3 times during a week stay? It is ridiculous. Things are not well organized, places don’t stay open to adhere to customers, and you have to plan all your outings based on when things will be open at the resort to ensure you eat and get pool towels. The biggest downfall is the food and drinks. The drinks are all fake and nothing is natural. They water down their alcohol so much and add fake color and syrups to everything. My husband and I both got food poisoning at the beginning of the trip. Not only did we get really sick but the pharmacy in the hotel is soooo over priced. I had to buy some stomach medicine and it was $500 MX. When we went to town, I restocked on the same medicine and it was $120 MX. Nothing but the buffets, restaurants, and rooms are air conditioned or have fans. I’d you want any relief from the heat, you would have to go back and hang out in your room. I would not recommend anyone to stay here and the 2 stars are because the most staff was nice and friendly.

Absolutely great. Our first room was not near trees and we asked for a change before we unpacked and they accommodated us for a fee. We had monkeys and birds come by daily in building 21. All the staff were friendly and nice. The buffets were fine, no food sickness, no flies. A carts were good. Show at 9:30pm and a nightclub. We tipped in pesos ($20,50,100) and we tipped all kinds of service and workers just for fun. I did not feel pressured to tip. If you wake up before 9am you can find a chair somewhere (three pools, two ocean spots). Snorkling was great, lifeguards were helpful, the fish were amazing. Everything is far so bring good walking shoes. There is a Trolly if you are patient. Walkways, pools, restaurants are accessible. The park next door was incredible and worth every penny. You can walk or boat there and return for activities if you don’t get it all done in one day. The only constructive criticism I have is the inability to book a room in the building you want and I do not like the deer in a pen. They did not look happy or healthy and other deer were walking around the park free and friendly. The wildlife here is off the charts!!! I loved this place. Been to many countries and Mexico over 10 times. This spot is a gem if it’s you are into walking, adventure and wildlife!

Bedspread was dirty upon check in. No beach access except the small bay. It is much, much smaller than it looks in pictures. It is NOT all-inclusive. Coffees are extra. Lobster is extra. There are beach chairs, but not enough. And only "club" members are allowed to use 3/4 of the chairs. There are several restaurants, reservation only. You reserve the day before, but not more than 2 days. The restaurants were usually all booked during our 8 night stay. The food at the restaurants was pretty terrible except the oriental. The steakhouse was the worst. The steak had the texture of a kitchen sponge.

The food was good but the buffet got boring same food daily. The pool snack bar seemed better at lunch. The Asian restaurant was the best for reserved dinners. Italian was ok, presentation was nice but small quantities and long wait. The resort lacks activities we did get bored. We only left once to the Xcaret park. When they say pool party it’s only a couple games. Music was only played for half the day at the pool and beach. We had 11 people in our group with kids all ages and 6 adults .The shows were a hit and miss. The Kareokee was awful. The singer in the lobby area could be so much better. Rooms were good and kept clean with the fridge stocked daily. The resort lacks a coffee shop. The wildlife was the best part, very unique as they roam freely. The resort is too far away to do most excursions. The grounds are well kept.

Building 12, the rooms from 122** ~1224*, the shower sink has terrible smell, we have to use towel to cover sink hole everyday.
