The hotel was clean, very accessible to shops and restaurants. It was a bit loud near my room but my parents room wasn't. The breakfast was excellent. It was a good stay for the price. Very pleased.

Beware of this hotel!

Prepaid a room from Saturday to Sunday but was going to check in on Sunday morning around 630am and checkout that same day at checkout time. Had my booking agency call the hotel and let them know I was checking in around 630am so to expect me then. They confirmed with Alex at the front desk. When I arrived at the hotel at 645am I had to wait 15 minutes because there was not receptionist until 7am. Alex arrived at 7am and after looking in the computer he tells me that they are sold out. I asked him how can they be sold out when I have a confirm prepaid reservation and they called the day before and told him I would checkin around 630am. He had no answer and just kept saying they were sold out. I asked for the manager and he told me he was not available till Monday. I told him to call his manager and he refused. Because of Alex I had to have my booking agent arrange another hotel room which took till 10am. Needless to say after 24 hours of flying I had to deal with this till 10am which is finally when I checked in to another hotel! Will never book this hotel again!

AWFUL. hotel rooms are next to pounding nightclub

Good people but hotel next to a pounding nightclub that went on until 3 in the morning EVERY single night. AWFUL. Moved rooms only after aggressively insisting but that did not help. Hotel room walls so thin you can hear coughs on the other side. No sleep for 5 days.

This was the 4th time I stayed here over the past few years. But never before was the music from the bar across the street so bad. It was loud and horrible every night but worse on Saturday night. The music went on until 6 am.

Reliable hotel

The hotel had nice amenities safes,clean pool, friendly staff it was close to 5th ave so a bit noisy from the party bars but hey it was close to the shopping and the beach. Oh and the front desk could converse in English enough to get buy.

DONT EVER BOOK HERE

TLDR - dont book here, dont be fooled by the price - false advertising NO WIFI, its not a secure/ safe hotel, you will not get a good nights sleep, AC problems, no mini bar, TV problems, health concerns-> dirty, many problems- DONT BOOK HERE. this hotel is 1 star at best and you should never book here despite the cheap cost. 1. doors are flimsy, easy to kick in and have holes in the frame letting in bugs and small wild life. i found a lizard type animal in my room one day 2. wifi signal is poor and weak you can never get a connection in your room or at your hotel 3. asking for extra clean towels is like pulling teeth, they are very reluctant to help you 4. hotel has poor security, night guard constantly passed out, doors flimsy, windows had no bars or cages, bathroom window had no screen - easy for robbery and to break into 5. AC broke during our stay and was not fixed. AC was leaking dirty water onto our bed and pillows- major health issue 6. TV was fickle and sometimes worked and did not work 7. pool lounge area was covered in bird feces and was not cleaned, & no pool towels were provided 8. charged 7 pesos a minute to make a local phone call 9. music from nearby club and bars could be heard crystal clear in room despite using ear plugs. I never got a single nights rest staying here 10. no mini bar in room - cant have a cold beer and no place to store left overs or food. 11. general hotel was dirty and unclean lobby lounge chairs were stained, dirty and unkept.

Very noisey due to being right on Avenida Cinqo where the nightclubs boom till 6 a.m. every weekend night. Otherwise it is the perfect affordable getaway hotel. Not fancy but very authentically Mexican with a lovely little pool and garden area. Great breakfast buffet. Wifi in rooms doesn't work well but works in lobby and around the pool. Rooms are simple but clean. Hotel staff are very nice.

A cute little hotel with great breakfast buffet included & nice pool & garden. Lovely staff too. Downside is it's right across from the disco which goes till 6 am. Ear plugs essential & even so you'll lose a few nights sleep here. Close to the beach.

Just.... Nah. It was fine, I mean, we didn't die, it's not extremely terrible or anything. It had ice cold AC. The included breakfast everyday is seriously great. But it's kind of dirty and just kind of cheapy in general. The wifi only works in the lobby. Annoying cover band playing every night just across the street. There's just so many options available that are better. We moved to Illusions, just down the street and it was muuuuch better

Great deal on 5th ave

We looked on line and it was the best deal Under 400usd for 7 days. Rooms a bit dated, but ok for the money. Pool was 10 feet from our door. Breakfast was good. Best thing was the location and price We stayed in food 8 which was next to the pool pump room, a bit loud. Overall a hell of a deal.

WONDERFUL VACATION AT PLAYA DEL CARMEN

my son and I stayed for 14 days. they need to Improve wifi connection, overall good breakfast every morning and thank's to chef IVAN for pleasing the guests, the pool was wonderful, all the personal from MAYA BRIC HOTEL make us feel welcome and we did enjoyed our stay and great location on quinta avenida I would recommend MAYA BRIC HOTEL.

Loud and hot

AC in one room didn't work and TV in our other room didn't work....were not fixed during our stay. Got charged for 2 buffets we did not have. Stated rooms had 2 queen sized beds each, they were barely doubles. Extremely loud at night with nightclub music till 4 am. The window in the bathroom did not close so it was impossible to dull the noise from the music. Beds like rocks. On the other hand, staff was very kind and tried to be as accomodating as possible within restrictions of hotel's physical problems. Also, the chef was terrific.

Basic at best.

For location you couldn't ask for a better place. Right in the heart of the shops, restaurants and bars. But the hotel itself left a little to be desired. There was much painting and renovating and the biggest disappointment was that the pool was completely drained and being repaired. The room was very, very basic and our toilet did not flush properly. There was a breakfast included. The price per night was inexpensive so you truly get what you pay for.

Awful.

The guy who checked us in was very rude. The room was small and had ants everywhere. The beds were uncomfortable and to top it off there was LOUD construction that started everyday at 7:30am!!! The only thing good about the place was the breakfast and the pool. I would never stay here again.

Nice Hotel, close to the beach and 5TH avenue.

I recommend this hotel, I was attended by Sirilo great and nice customer service, has a restaurant in, with delicious food, has everything you need closer, this hotel has excellent location, on 5th avenue is between 10/8 st.for beach one block, spas on all avenue are. Close for pharmacy, restaurants, and dancing places, relax areas. And private, public parking, sorry the hotel don't have parking you need to parking on 10th ave.but is near To xcaret and xel-ha at 10min. Course I will like to back next time :D
