I have stayed here before several times. There is construction going on nextdoor and there is a loud jackhammer noise that starts st 7 AM and lasts all day. Obviously this will end at some point but I was not aware of this when booking.
I have Globalist status with Hyatt and they offered me an upgrade to a suite on the 13’th floor. The view was beautiful and the suite was large and very nice. The carpet and upholstery was stained and the furniture was a bit damaged and worn. It was still very nice.
I asked for a humidifier and they brought me one.
When I checked in, I was told that I would receive a free breakfast. The first morning,I ordered off the menu and it was lovely. The service was excellent, as was the food. The second morning, they offered a serve yourself continental breakfast. The croissants were wonderful and I was satisfied. When I checked out, I was told that the breakfast charges would be credited to my account due to Globalist status. However, subsequently, I received an email that the staff made an error. Because I booked on Expedia, I will need to pay for the two breakfasts.
When I checked in, the person working there was very polite to me and went out of his way to upgrade the suite. I very much appreciate that. He also gave me a coupon for a free drink at the rooftop bar. When I went there and ordered dinner, I was advised that the only wine that can be offered is the House Pino Grigio. I chose to order a different one and pay for it.
