The hotel itself is nice. It is very close to the train station, so expect a lot of traffic of all varieties, but it is convenient to many sites.

Staff was unpleasant, when we checked in they made a huge deal like they are doing us a huge favor by checking us in early but than charged for a 1.5 hr early check in. There is a strip club right next to the hotel, there are escorts that stand right in front. Walking in the evening is very scary and unsafe, we had people walking up behind us asking for things. The inside is “ok” but does not make up for the outside or the staff.

Reasonable cost hotel next to main station

I was in Munich for a football match. Two nights at the hotel. Early checking was ok. Room was clean. Basic stuff but fine. TV wasn’t so good, but we weren’t there to watch that. Not a bad location - next to main station. Pool is disappointing. Up on 6th floor. No steam room. Would we stay again? It’s a Yes. All ok.

I do not recommend this property for a vacation. The city gave off an unsafe feeling. That being said I believe this hotel is meant for more of a business use needs. It is near the train station and a strip club is next door. The food downstairs for breakfast was good.

The hotel itself is quite nice with its art deco style though said deco needs a revamp. Reception is very dark and not overly welcoming but the staff made up for this. The area around the hotel isn’t great. Arriving at 10pm it was a little nerve wracking walking past a strip club next to the dark tunnel entry leading to the hotel. If we had been aware of this, we may have stayed elsewhere. We booked the family room with 2 ensuite rooms adjoining a central lounge/dining area - not a cheap option but the best for ourselves and our adult daughter. Unfortunately, the dining room offered furniture, a coffee machine & small fridge and not much else. A microwave, crockery & cutlery would be a great improvement. Overall lovely for a quick stay but the location and tired decor let it down.

Excellent hotel close to the main station but also excellent for access to the main areas. The hotel has spacious rooms and was very quiet when we stayed. The breakfast was fine but a little pricey for us for everyday so we got breakfast from the Richart bakery in the station most days. The tram and bus network radiates from around the station so most attractions are easily accessible. There are a few typical beer house type restaurants very close by for dinner,

Great location for central access but if you use the main entrance you are on a slightly seedy street with gambling clubs and general groups of men lingering around. But the hotel, staff, rooms were all great and would definitely recommend to others

Dirty rooms, nothing worked, staff didn’t care!

The room was dirty, there were stains on the carpet, furniture and mattresses and the doors of the wardrobe were filthy. There was black mold in the bathroom. We complained that the bathroom extractor fan didn’t work and the bath plug did not drain and they did nothing about it. We had to ask 3 times for extra pillows before we got any. The beds were uncomfortable and overall it was dirty grungy and nothing worked. I would not recommend

Excellent Choice

This hotel is in an excellent location in the Center of Munich. The property is clean, modern, and nicely appointed. But above and beyond that, I can’t say enough about their wonderful staff! From the front desk staff to the restaurant staff to the phenomenal bartenders (that’s you Daniella & Lisa!) I can’t say enough about how impressed I was and how much their service added to the enjoyment of my stay. I would highly recommend the Maritim Meunchen hotel!!
