The hotel room was spotlessly clean and smelled good. Free robes and slippers are also a nice touch! The lobby is elegant and the bar very classy. Breakfast buffet (get it included with the room reservation if booking more than 1 person) is one of the best I have had with a wide selection of hot and cold meats, cheeses, smoked fish, juices, teas, custom egg/omelette chef, cereals, yogurt, fruits and spreads, breads, and of course pretzels. Location is not fun driving to/from during rush hour but there is a subway station underneath the hotel and the Munich metro sytem is excellent! My only complaints are that there are no Double Queen or King rooms, but we made do with a King + rollaway bed (free). Also parking in the underground garage is convenient but at 28 Euro, outrageously expensive. However the room prices were good enough that overall I was satisfied with the cost to stay there, about 500 Eu for 3 nights including breakfast for 3.

While not exactly in the heart of the historic district, this hotel is an easy walking distance to the MarienPlatz and has a number of restaurants nearby. They make point of making the hotel quiet. The breakfast is superior and reasonably priced at 15Euro. The staff was outstanding.
