The hotel is located in a great spot to walk along the river and all of the waterfront dining. It is also a short walk from the train station. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, simple but tasty and the coffee was amazing. There is no AC but it was explained to us that it is not allowed to install it in a historic building. We opened the windows at night and there was a ceiling fan. There is a restaurant onsite and one next door and you get a 10% discount if you eat at those places. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The location was very convenient. The rooms were small with no A/C. We had to open the windows to cool down the room, so we heard people from the resteraunts below, workers all night. Then the town bells would ring evey hour. Didnt get much sleep.

The hotel was extremely poor. The toilet lid was falling off, the room has no AC and was hot. The bathroom was so small one person can barely stand inside and you have to move around inside to even shut the door. The shower had what looked like black mold growing on the grout in the shower. I guess they never do any proper deep cleaning here. The room was labeled as "city view" and boy was it a great view of the side of the building next to us. Nothing is better than false advertising. We tried to open the window because it was to hot inside but had nothing but noise from drunks outside and than a street sweeper woke us again at 545am. To top it off the fire alarm decided to start going off in the morning while we were trying to get ready. It was a false alarm that kept popping in for about 5 minutes until they could figure out how to silence it. Stay clear of this hotel, it was way to expensive for what you get. The owners dont seem to upkeep it properly and use false advertising to make the rooms seem much better than they are. We are jumping around Switzerland for a week and luckily we only got stuck with this hotel for one night. Buyer beware. Stay clear of here.

The stated check-in time is 2pm so we walked around and came back to check in at 2:45 thinking it would be ready but my room wasn’t ready until about 3:15. The room itself is fine, it’s simple and clean, there is a mini fridge, coffee machine, bottles for water etc. The bathroom and shower as others have mentioned are beyond tiny but the photos do a good job capturing that. The worst part about this property though is the quality of the bed. I wasn’t able to sleep the first night because of how uncomfortable it was and I woke up that morning with a significant back ache (I’m in my early 30s and have never had this happen before). The staff is friendly and did help with an extra comforter when I asked for anything to make the bed better. To be fair, I was here in a busy time in Lucerne but my rate vs what I got was a bit absurd, I paid luxury hotel prices for a basic room that was not comfortable.

Very nice place with very decent rooms for the price, loved the location! Walkable from main train station and to almost anything of interest! Very friendly staff and very nice breakfast. Rooms and bathrooms not too big but ok to be comfortable. I recommend it.

Great location Rooms are incredibly small. Bathroom was about 5x5. We paid in full over 3 months ago and heard at least twice of people being “upgraded”. Why not upgrade the people who paid in advance???

Great location in old town right by the old bridge. Good simple hotel breakfast. Very small bathroom, some contortion required to squeeze into the shower. Easy distance from station but cobblestones and poor GPS guidance taking us via stairs made it a bit of a challenge.

This hotel's superpower is its location.

Stayed in Lucerne for the first 3 nights of a longer Switzerland trip, and I'm super happy I ended up with the Hotel Weisses Kreuz for the hotel. Some reviewers will probably say the rooms are small, but I found the room to be pretty much perfect given the purpose of the room. You're sleeping here. That's it. We didn't have a view out the window, but didn't need one because we were one flight of stairs away from being in the middle of old Lucerne and staring at the Chapel Bridge. This is the part that wasn't clear when I was booking that would have helped. The scale isn't super easy to figure out when you're looking at a map. The location of this hotel is absolutely fabulous. Exit the hotel and turn left and you're a few steps from all the restaurants with patios that overlook the river Reuss and the aforementioned Chapel Bridge. Turn right instead, and you're in the middle of a shopping area in old Lucerne. It gets even better - you're really close to the bus/train/boat stations in Lucerne. This hotel is perfect as a base of operations while you explore the area by train or boat. Walking to either takes no more than 10 minutes. Breakfast was included in my stay, and each day we were greeted by the amazing staff at the hotel and had a great breakfast. It's typical EU breakfast - some eggs, cereals and sliced meat, but it's exactly what you need to start the day.

Luzern Hotel 🇨🇭

We stayed two nights and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The location of the hotel is perfect and there’s so much to do and see in Luzern. Our room was quiet and comfortable. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant with excellent service and food. All staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Excellent - recommend, super reception staff!

We booked this hotel due to location, and what a gem! Super highly recommend for a short or long stay. On first meeting of the front reception staff - we knew we had made the right choice. Friendly, fun, happy, helpful, great English, awesome! Thank you! Standard double room with King Bed : The bed was comfy, great size, loved the overhead fan instead of air con, cute wee bathroom with perfect size shower cubicle with awesome water pressure, windows easy open to fresh air if needed. Surprise was the door opened to a very large outdoor verandah, all to ourselves! The coffee and tea supplied was great and the mini fridge was a bonus. The location was perfect - right in the old town. Thanks team - you helped to make our visit to Lucern memorable.

Staff they were good. Hotel was very very noisy and very hot no air conditioning the size of bathroom and shower very small you can’t get to shower to wash yourself and when you complain they say we have only 21 rooms and we are lucky we got room because this city very small with a few Hotels🤔they don’t even let you know we booked our room with breakfast they tell us you should know but if you want to buy is $15.00 per person…….
