This hotel is nice, albeit right in the middle of town. Breakfast was very good and our room was remarkably quiet for being on such a busy street. It is a bit of a trek from the train station but fine with smaller bags. The staff was courteous and professional, although not as friendly as we have found in other hotels during our travels here - perhaps it is the "bigger city way...".

We stayed here for 5 nights using lucerne as our base for hiking and sightseeing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was wonderful and had a good variety of options. Location is great for accessibility to train station, restaurants, stores, sights, etc. Be aware that the rooms have no AC and ours didn't have windows that opened. Being there for the hottest days of summer was pretty brutal. Staff were kind enough to get a couple of fans to help cool the room down. Bathrooms don't vent so humidity was up after showers and the bathrooms don't have true doors, kind of pantry or split closet style doors, so the whole room heats up. Television in the room would not stay on or would show server not available. May have been due to the temps too. The building itself is pretty, but so much of Lucerne was. Would we stay here again? Maybe, just not in the summer.

Dislikes first. The room was small and dominated by a large bed. Clever design managed to fit the usual conveniances in, but it was tight. Likes. The staff were great, friendly and willing to deal with any issue. That bed was a dream, slept like a log. The shower had excellent pressure and temperature easily controlled. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

We loved our stay at this hotel. We had the family junior suite which was plenty of room for the four of us. The hotel is in a very lively location. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby, was close to the river and not a far walk from all of the tourist spots. Was directly across the street from the bus stop to take you to Mt. Pilatus. The front desk staff was lovely and my kids loved the fun decor and the free photo booth!

The location of this property was good, the beds were comfortable the only con was no air conditioning and if you left the windows open it was so noisy because our room was on the street side, if the windows were closed the noise was blocked but the room got hot.

What a great find! I booked a single room, but it was a big double bed. I would compare this hotel/room to the Moxy hotels - stylish & modern with fun decorative touches and common areas, a small yet functional and cute room. The best value in the area by far, and I spent days looking for a room. Great location near train station and busses. Lucerne is small, so you can walk anywhere in the old town quickly.
