Basement apartment-steep stairs so keep that in mind when considering renting. Quiet street, close to Notting Hill Gate Station. Can hear the subway underground at night but not too loud. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Pictures showed table and chairs on the patio-there were none. Patio is a small square below the apartment windows on the upper floor-not what we were expecting and disappointing as that was one of the amenities that drew me to renting this apartment. Washer and dryer which is super helpful. Freezer needed some maintnance-defrosting. Recommend a maintenance person come through and check on the apartment. My sister found an exposed light plug and was shocked-literally but not hurt. Reported to the property management. Very nice Italian restaurant less than a block from the apartment, De Amicis Ristorante Italiano. Coffee cafe, Mawi-special in the mornings from 7a-9a 5 pound coffee and bakery item, M&S down the street, Boots and Amazon Fresh all within 2 blocks. Kensington Gardens and Castle across the street which is fantastic for daily walks. Overall great location, not for elderly or anyone who has trouble walking up or down steep stairs, price was a bit expensive even for a summer rental. Dalton was great! He was easily accessible and answered my texts quickly. Brought us some fans as it was HOT weather while we were there. No air conditioning but with this being a basement apartment it stayed reasonably cook with the fans.
