Not Quite Luxury

We stayed here 5 nights. I debated whether or not to get an apartment or stay in a hotel, but chose the apartment so that my husband and I, and my teen son, could have our own rooms. The apartment is spacious, and it's located right across from the Kensington High Street station. There are many dining and shopping options nearby. Communication before check-in was great. Our first impression of the place was not as good as I hoped. When we arrived, jetlagged and very tired, the host asked us to put all our luggage down to take notes on how to code for the gate, the code for the entry door, and how to access the apartment. I would have preferred that it all be written down or emailed to us prior. Once we entered the apartment, the host showed us around. Once done, he had to gather his lunch, his computer, and some other gear. It was just a bit odd. I guess he doesn't have an office. The apartment didn't feel clean, especially the bathroom floors and showers. There was mold in both showers, and bar of used soap. The mirror in the primary bathroom was smeared, and the sink was missing a drain cover. The door did not close. The hand soap provided was an almost-empty container of basic soap. There were no paper towels, no coffee maker or coffee, no bottles of water -- things we normally receive with an apartment rental. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes. We emailed for fresh towels and never received a reply. We would not stay there again.

Probably one of the filthiest properties I’ve ever rented looked like it had not been cleaned in years. The floors were filthy if you walk in socks the sole of sock would be black with filth, Size is good. Main rooms overlooking KHS noisy the room with two singles quite so better to sleep. Great location but will stay in a hotel next time.

O apartamento é bom . Mas nao tem cafeteira, abridor de vinhos e a entrada é horrivel: pela area de servico. Quando chegamos o funcionario foi bem gentil, mas faltava toalhas de casal, havia apenas de rosto e nao havia a cama para meu filho de 14 anos conforme reserva. Dormimos a primeira noite os 03 na mesma cama. O piso estava sujo quando chegamos. No segundo dia entregaram a cama e as toalhas.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was clean, well-kept, and had everything we needed—including a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and even a washer. The location couldn’t have been better—right on Kensington High Street with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, and just steps away from the underground for easy access to the rest of the city. Saed, who helped with check-in, was very pleasant and accommodating. While we weren’t able to check in early, we appreciated the option to store our luggage at a nearby Radical Storage partner, which worked out well. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Wir buchten die Unterkunft zu 2 Erwachsenen mit 1 Kind, doch gab es für unser Kind keine geeignete Schlafmöglichkeit. Eine 2. Decke gab es auch nicht zum zudecken. Die Schlüsselübergabe war nicht einfach, die Email / Telefonnummer aus der Buchungsbestätigung war nicht die richtige. Der Boden des Apartments wurde nicht richtig gesäubert zu unserer Anreise. Die Lage des Apartments ist jedoch top.

The only issue I had was finding the facility. I didn't have cell/data service and the address, at the back of the building, isn't easy to find.
