Polite helpful staff. Since the details of issues or problems in any room would be noticed by the cleaning staff, management would do well to ask them to report. The closer on my room door did not function properly, held the door open, slammed it unexpectedly, etc but apparently nobody had reported it for repair. Non-cleaning staff should inspect. If you close the curtains without unplugging the coffee pot, it gets swept onto the floor. Hmmm

Slightly disappointed with the property for what we paid. I expected nicer amenities and spacious rooms, where what we received was the bare minimum in terms of quality. Stained carpets and shabby furniture made the hotel seem run down. The front desk staff were friendly upon arrival. Conveniently located near a tube stop and museums. Overall decent mid-budget hotel option for the area.

One of the best aspects of this hotel is its location. It is near the Gloucester Road station and several museums. The hotel itself was average. It was a bit dated and carpet stains were visible. The room was adequate. The bed was good, and there was a desk and a television. The shower was quite good, but the bathroom didn't have a place to put products, which is my habit when taking a trip. I did not see a luggage rack. There was not a refrigerator in the room and I also didn't see an ice maker. My rating is not higher is due to the following issue. On the first day of my stay, I reported to the front desk that the air conditioning in my room didn't appear to be working. Someone from the front desk came up to check and then went back to the desk. I then received a phone call in my room from the other staff member at the front desk. She stated that the maintenance staff who would need to look at the air conditioning unit to fix it were not there that day, but could come tomorrow to fix it. She stated that I would be given at 20% refund on the first night of my stay and that a fan could be brought to my room. I accepted this, and I was brought a fan. The air conditioning unit was fixed the next day and worked for the remainder of my stay. I prepaid with Travelocity, so I contacted them after returning home to ask about the partial refund. I was told they tried but weren't able to get a refund approval from the property manager. I emailed the hotel twice and received no reply.

The location is great. I booked two rooms and requested weeks ago to have the rooms adjoining or near each other, the request was not met and the rooms were two floors apart. On the first room’s floor there was construction so everyday we had to navigate through the construction to get to our rooms. The buffet we were told was one price I attempted to pay for it the night before and I was told not to worry that I would pay the morning of not knowing I would be charged additional charges for paying the day of.

The propertywas undergoing construction and updating. It didn't interfere with our location, but obviously our area was not yet updated. We asked for a queen bed and it was very small. Better to ask for king. Sizes in Europe are different Room itself needed more clothing storage. Drawers or shelves. Also, there should be a refrigerator to keep drinks cold for travelers. Toilet paper holder in a terrible location, behind elbow. Blow dryer in an awkward location under desk. Not much space around sink. Staff very friendly and attentive. Very knowledgeable about area and transportation. Location extremely convenient. Nice area in lobby to sit and relax.

Power went out and so they had to move us at 11:30pm and didn’t get moved until 1:30am. So this was very frustrating and we had to demand it otherwise they would not have accommodated us. Got to sleep at 2:30am and missed our next day tours.
