Great Hotel - Great location

Great location, very friendly staff, very clean. Nice out door area for a relaxing evening drink. Hotel is right next to the river walk trail which was a lot of fun.

Extremely noisy footsteps above (staff couldn’t satisfy my request of a top floor unit even though they have roughly 100 rooms per floor. $10 parking per day doesn’t help your cause.

Good friendly staff horrendous bed and breakfast

Staff at the counter was super nice. The room was cool with a separate area like a living room. The biggest issue was the piece of plywood they called a bed, might as well have slept on the floor it was so hard. They claimed “pillow top mattress” if a pillow was one inch of cotton over hardwood sure. Also the breakfast was horrendous, I know continental breakfast isn’t a Michelin star meal but this was extra bad extra microwaved and was way to small for how many people were staying there.

Checked in late and staff was welcoming. Room was clean but noticed toilet was flushing slow. Woke up and noticed toilet was clogged. Called front desk and informed them what happened. They said they would call me back and see if anyone can fix the toilet. Had errands to run and stopped by the front desk and was told maintenance will be in at 10 am and mind you this was at 8am. Requested a different room and was staff was hesitant to get us a new one until my husband chimed in and said what if he had to use the toilet. She then found us a new room, transferred our stuff to a new room and noticed the sink was draining slow as well but luckily the toilet was working. I would think in a situation like ours, staff would be on it calling maintenance and not have to literally beg for a new room. I tried to be positive but it dampened the 2 days we were there.

The HVAC in the room wouldn’t stay at set temp. I had to set it very low to get it on then it drifted up slowly to very warm so I had to keep either pulling up the comforter or throwing it off to use only a sheet. And having no blanket as an intermediate cover made the staying asleep very difficult.

Property was nice and quiet. Parking is $10 a day fee, just FYI. We did not know that when we booked, which might be our fault. Breakfast was good and had lots of options.
