My recent stay at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa was extremely disappointing and far below expectations. The property is clearly in need of a comprehensive renovation to bring it up to modern standards. The overall condition felt dated, with worn, dingy furniture, tired bed linens, and a noticeable lack of cleanliness throughout. The casino elevators and guest rooms, in particular, could benefit from a deep clean, and even basic bathroom upkeep appeared neglected—something as simple as proper sanitation would make a significant difference. The issues extended beyond aesthetics. The shower water never reached an acceptable temperature, remaining lukewarm at best, which made for a frustrating and uncomfortable experience. For a property of this caliber, that is simply unacceptable. Dining was equally underwhelming. At Old Homestead Steak House—a restaurant I have previously enjoyed—the quality has noticeably declined. My filet mignon lacked proper seasoning and flavor, and the texture suggested it was not a high-quality cut. Service was also slow and inattentive, as it took approximately 30 minutes just to receive our check. To add to the disappointment, the strawberry shortcake dessert was dense and unbalanced, with minimal fruit and overly heavy cake layers. Overall, this experience did not meet even basic expectations for comfort, cleanliness, or quality. Unfortunately, we will be choosing Ocean Casino Resort for future visits, as it better aligns with the standards we expect

We had a very pleasant stay at Borgata overall. The room was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a beautiful view that made the experience even more relaxing. Waking up to that scenery in the morning was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. There was a small issue with the bathroom drainage being clogged when we took a shower the next day after we checked in. However, once we informed the front desk, the maintenance team came right away and fixed it promptly. I really appreciated how quickly and professionally they handled the situation. Despite the minor inconvenience, the excellent service and the comfort of the room made our stay very enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again.
