"First time to stay at Hyatt Regency. I booked one room through Orbitz and the other through Hyatt. I got a way better deal straight with Hyatt. Wish I had checked before going with Orbitz. The hotel was right across the street from the beach. I was a bit worried about that at first bcoz we have always stayed right on the beach the 9 other times we’ve been to Hawaii. Surprisingly this was not bad being across. It’s more labor intensive since u have to carry those beach chairs that u get from the 3rd floor pool. Hours to get them are 730am to 8pm. So we were first to get them at 730am and last to return at 8pm. They run out pretty fast. By 9am they’re all gone. But beach towels kiosk dispensers are by the pool and by the exit and they’re pretty full. They do give a daily complimentary pineapple ice cream that u can ask the pool attendant when checking out the chairs. Check in was easy and fast. Although I had issues about this after we checked out with billing, but was hopefully resolved. I’ll know when I get the email. The rooms were super spacious! The room was a bit outdated but we Love love loved the ocean view! We were on the 18th floor and the views were spectacular! They give complimentary slippers for guests as well as refillable water bottles that we used religiously. Rented surfboards from Moku across the street and grabbed spam musube at the Musube cafe across the street as a daily thing we did. Lots of shops in the hotel. Great location! Would stay here again! 🌺"
