Sheraton Suites Wilmington Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

good location, good service, the bad thing is that they charge parking fee.

Hotel was just ok. No linen in the room for pull out couch. Elevator to garage did not work, had to walk up/down stairs.

The hotel was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. Can't wait to stay there again.

The general cleanliness of the hotel was fine and we liked the size of the room but the hotel seems to be in a dicey spot of town. They have a security guard in the lobby which is a red flag but during the middle of the night, a couple in the next room over got into a nasty fight that resulted in things being thrown around the room and the (apparently intoxicated) man staying there trying to kick in the door and shouting profanity from the hallway. It took ages for someone (I'm assuming the security guard because we were afraid to step out in the hallway) to respond and break it up bit it resulted in a very uneasy night and lost sleep. There is a bar open late downstairs and I suspect it contributes to the behavior of some guests. It's a low-priced hotel so you will appreciate that, but it seems there's a reason.

The stay was good the room was very clean my wife and I enjoy our night and plan on doing it again very soon thank you very much

This was right downtown and near the offices. Room very comfortable and wired for business.

THE HOTEL IS BEAUTIFUL. ROOM SERVICE FOOD IS AWESOME

Everything good receptionist was very helpful. The room had a nice view the parking was great

Driving several hours through the first area snowfall (and the worst in quite a few years), we were given a warm welcome by Carmella, who gave us free parking due to the weather. At Basil, the hotel's unheralded restaurant, our order apparently got lost. Kathleen, a corporate person who had come in to work because of the unprecedented dinner crowd, apologized and made most of our meal gratis. She also arranged for a free breakfast. A thoroughly professional and kind gesture, making the rest of our visit a delight.

Downtown Wilmington location. Comfortable, spacious rooms.

The bed was very comfortable. I especially liked the cozy comforter.

the TV doesn't work ,The room is clean, but you have to pay Internet, $10 a dayand $15 for parking you can not have your food delivered into your room from outside of the hotel restaurant, you need to use your key to go up and down the elevator. seem to be understaffed.

We only stayed one night - suite was large/comfortable and clean - friendly staff - convenient downtown location

Two nights stay to visit my older son at school meant that we had to stay within a short driving distance to U Del. We figured if we are in Wilmington we could easily get to the school and the restaurants would be much better in the city. The hotel was booked on Orbitz with ease and at a savings, the reality though was a tired hotel with soiled furniture in the sitting room, water damaged desks and tables, no exhaust vent in the shower, and a joke of a coffee maker in the room. I fear that had I had an untra-violet light source I would have seen so much contamination on the soiled furniture that I surely would never have sat down. While there was much information touting a multi billion dollar renovation for the Sheraton hotel portfolio surely this location has not yet seen that day. I don't want to say you get what you pay for here because I expect cleanliness at all price points in lodging.

Nice suite and very friendly staff.

We attended a wedding in the area and needed to bring out dog with us. The room was very nice and clean with a very comfortable bed. The only two issue we had was with the elevator. It rarely stopped on the correct floor, and most often just traveled down. It was quite frustrating.

The accommodations were very good

Good location, confortable room, good service. be ready to pay parking, that I didn't like.

Great location, nice staff, great breakfast, good rooms. Furniture a little stained. You need to use a key on every elevator and floor, which slows things down considerably. Spent 3 nights on the phone with their outside Internet provider, who has the audacity to charge 10.00 per day for the worst service I have ever consistently (7 nights) encountered. For all intents and purposes, there is NO INTERNET in the room. In the 21'st century, there is a problem there. To be fair, the staff waived all charges, but I would not stay there again, based on that one huge communications problem.

This was my first time in DE; my experience was memorable and likely to repeat. I attended a surprise birthday party for my brother and his wife. It was near St Patrick's Day, missed the parade, walked around the area. There only Fri night - sunday morning.
