It was clean and the staff was very welcoming. Great price for the location as well.
Dirty. Stayed 2 nights. Did not get our room cleaned between nights ( and no, we didnt request for it not to be cleaned). Someone tried to get into our room at 1:30 in the morning. Dont know if they were confused, or if they were given the wrong room number. Overall, just not a good place to stay. Nice people who work there, but it needs a major overhaul
Disgusting. Smoky. Filthy. Sink corroded. Old cookie on floor.
Their rooms smell and I don’t think they clean it - they just make the bed everyday! Definitely staying there again.
Needs a major refreshing and cleaning - an old carpet (outdoor) With what looked like mold greeted us at the door to our room
very few parking spaces. room was clean but in major need of some updating, broken moldings, bad tile and very dated.
Ants in room around sink. One level above making my skin crawl. Smoke free room smelled a little smokey.
Thanks but no thanks....not my idea of a great place!
air conditioning was not on... the screen on the air conditioner was so filthy I took it right off... we went to one room and it hadnt been cleaned.. the room was finally cool enough about 4 am and we left at 8 am... not good at all.. the staff was so sweet. they cant help it if they have to work at such a rotten hotel.
New ownership, new mattresses, new carpet, new room paint, friendly reception staff and much better breakfast!
the was not clean, there were bugs in the tub, cobwebs everywhere through the room the nighttime manager came in the room and we show them to her and she agreed with us about the condition of the room. We took pictures with the her there. The sheets smelled old and stale, like they haven been changed in a while. Night manager went to linden closet to changed them but there was no spare sheets. Top everything off with, there was a tshirt left in the corner of the room from a previous renter. SIMPLY GROSS
Conveniently located big motel with many rooms. Comfort and all amenities can be described as average. The price ($134.00 per night) is definitely too high and unjustified. TV set is old and obsolete there is no HD reception; bed is hard with just one blanket, not enough during cold night. Barroom area was clean, but definitely revealing its age (rusty stains within bathtub area, worn out rug).
I just needed a place for a short stop over on my way down to Virginia. Staff was extremely accommodating and even provided a room prior to normal check-in time. Being located right next to Perkins was great. Loved the complimentary microwave popcorn and granola bar!
great bedding good breakfast and staff were good also weight room
stayed first night. flies in the room. moved to another room second night. remote and fridge did not work.
Good starting point for visiting the area in the immediate surroundings or even further afield like Gettysburg. The room is comfortable, spacious and clean and the hotel in conveniently located near shops and restaurants. Too bad the pool is undergoing renovation as we were looking forward to relaxing by it after the sightseeing.
Needed a room for a quick overnight visit to Bucknell. Usually choose the Country Inn up by I-80, which is also 2-star and same price, but it was booked. The Days in is much closer to campus, but far inferior in all other aspects. Beds were awful, clerks were surly, pool closed, no breakfast (you are funneled to the Perkins next door, which is somehow linked to this hotel site). Many smokers all smoking right outside rooms so smoke went into air vents and stank up the room. As usual, smokers were also surly and treated it as a joke. Management wouldn't intervene either. Definitely won't stay here again, and probably avoid the chain altogether in the future.
The weather wouldn't let me make the trip and hotel wouldn't change reservation or refund the money.
Booked a weekend stay for Parent's Weekend at the local university. Specifically booked a non-smoking room, so son, wife and I were surprised when opening the door to smell the unmistakeable odor of stale cigarette smoke. Returned to ask that we be switched, only to be told by the completely disinterested and unhelpful clerk that "ain't nuttin' I kin do" and I'd have to call the booking agent. Nearest alternatives with availability were about :40 min. away, which would not have worked for us. The inn and booking agents' pointing fingers at each other did not help resolve our situation. I'll admit to being less than fully objective in my opinion of the place at this point, but the room and furnishings were visibly very worn, there was mold in the corners of the shower, and the beds offered the support of a hammock. Can't beat the location, but we'll find other arrangements over the next several years.
The toilet ran all night. If you are a light sleeper, this wouldn't work for you. They didn't clean the dead flys on the hotel door. The floor was damp because it rained the night before. What a dump! Go to the new Hampton Inn or the Best Western closer to the Walmart.
