This is my favorite extended stay hotel. No ice machines in hallways, but refirs have ice makers. Lots of room for luggage and other stuff. I stayed in the 1 bedroom suite, which is a REAL suite. Roomy. If you like to watch TV from the bed, be aware that in my separate bedroom, the flat screen is tiny, the smallest I’ve seen in any hotel. The one in the living room isn't huge, but bigger than the bedroom one. Lots of stations.
No pool, nothing special for children to do. Very basic. But, since it has a kitchen you save money on eating out. Queen beds only. Clean, convenient to town..Handy for families since you can get a suite with a separate bedroom. Too bad other things are not more appealing to children. More of a business man's hotel.
We only stayed 1 night. Friendly check-in. Nice room with kitchen which was really useful as we could cook our own dinner! it was also nice to do our own breakfast after a few days on the road! They also have a small utensil lending service and food larder which we found really useful. Everything looked clean and the bed was comfy. We walked about 30 mins each way to a local bar, roads were lit so no problems. Receptionists friendly and helpful. Would def stay again if in the area.
I stayed at the Candlewood Suites Oak Harbor for a business trip for 6 nights in July - Candlewood Suites is great property - rooms are clean and comfortable - and nice amenities too! Rooms are all suites and have kitchens so that you can cook your meals (not have to go out for food). Kitchens come with a refrigerator, utensils, dishwasher, microwave oven, coffee pot, toaster and a 2 burner stove. Gym is decent - treadmill, elliptical trainer and bicycle, as well as a cable station and free weights/dumbbells. Another nice amenity was free use of laundry facilities (washer, dryer). You can grab snacks, beverages and laundry supplies at their Cupboard. Overall, great stay!
Alright the title of this review might be over the top lol but this hotel is for sure the greatest! Stayed here for 3 nights and it was the best stay ive had in all hotels ive been not to mention the rate was reasonable. Plus the have the best customer service! Their staff are the best staff ive seen in a hotel, very helpful! Accomodating, friendly and courteous! And the amenities is great! I cooked our meal and they have everything i need! I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Oooopppsss before i forget! The location is great! It is close to restaurant, gasoline station, safeway,Walmart pretty much close to everything! They deserve all the compliments they could get because they deserve it! Will definitely comeback!
I stayed there just for one night. The room was nice and of good size. The staff was very friendly and informative. No breakfast but coffee in the room. Very convenient and easy to navigate. Close to several nice restaurants (just beware they close early:)).
I came up from Seattle to visit friends staying on Whidbey and booked a room here. Front desk agent was very nice and helpful. The room was clean and in good shape. I didn't use any of the services, but took a look at the gym and laundry - solid. The thing I took notice of was the towels - usually, there are some basic white towels that are well used, but these were high quality. This was a very good choice if you're in Oak Harbor.
I have stayed at many IHG brands the past few years for both business trips and personal travel. I have generally found dependable quality, reasonable prices and exemplary service. This site was no exception. Upon our arrival we were upgraded to a suite instead of a standard room as reserved. The room was well appointed and clean. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. I highly recommend this hotel!
We stayed in a suite with a kitchenette in Candlewood Suites Oak Harbor for one night in early June 2017 with two dogs. We found them to be very pet-friendly, charging a nominal fee of $15 for one night for up to two pets. Pet-friendly rooms are available on the first floor, and there was easy access to the pet relief area behind the building. This was a small, grassy, maintained area with a bench, doggy waste bags, and a garbage receptacle. Candlewood Suites aims to provide their extended-stay guests with a convenient, home-like environment, complete with a fitness room, laundry facilities, an outdoor grill, and an extensive DVD selection available to borrow at no cost to guests. The Candlewood Cupboard is a self-serve mini-store near the lobby where guests can purchase snacks, drinks, frozen foods, and basic necessities. Another great concept is the Lending Locker, where guests can borrow items like small kitchen appliances, small hand tools, and even board games. The kitchenette was furnished with enough implements to prepare a simple meal, including a two-burner stove, a microwave, a full size refrigerator, a dishwasher, along with silverware, dishes, a small pot, cooking utensils—even a toaster and a colander. We found our suite to be nicely laid out and roomy, the bed and pillows to be extremely comfortable, and the bathroom clean and spacious. Because Candlewood Suites caters to extended-stay guests, rooms are cleaned weekly instead of daily. However, short stay guests like us are also welcome. The internet connection was good, and the front desk folks were helpful and attentive. Our stay was truly a home-away-from-home experience.
This hotel was a little less than we expected. The room had an old smell that went away when we opened the window. The bed was soft but comfortable and the room was very clean. Nice shower with soft towela. The AC worked well, which was good because the road outside was fairly loud. We took advantage of the in room dishwasher and toaster. The front desk staff member was very nice and helpful. The gym looked decent and free laundry would be a nice perk for those staying longer than just one night. They had games to loan as well as dvd's to borrow. There was a sign saying they has a 24 BBQ available in the back.
