Skamania Lodge is NOT like it used to be. Disappointing. After staying at the lodge many times over the years. Sad to say, don’t think we’ll we be back. It’s become commercial, hundreds of dogs, tons of kids, very loud inconsiderate tourists, wedding parties, etc. Not quite peace, quiet, and serenity it used to be. Carpets and floors dirty (my guess was all the pets). Furniture dirty, outside chairs needed updates. Walking trails/hikes still exist, but bridges down with detours and some bridges wobbly. Just in need of upkeep. Our room on 3rd floor was very clean. Lodge still has the beautiful views of course!

A wonderful family stay at Skamania Lodge. We used it as a jumping off point to see the waterfalls, mountain bike ride, an hike around the area. Extra bonus of not just accepting but appreciating our pup.

Skamania Lodge has a beautiful location in the gorge. The pool, spa, and grounds were so fun for our family. The rooms need some updating/better lighting as they are very dark and dull. No microwave and very small mini fridge. Pet fees are very expensive compared to other resorts and paying for parking was a bit annoying. Staff in the bar area were friendly enough but seemed that nobody had any sense of urgency or a lot of experience. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and do plan to come back.

The hotel was great, I wish my stay wasnt an impromptu so I could have seen more of it! The food was great and most of the staff was super friendly with the exception of the restaurant hostess that evening. She was very rude and told me that I would need to hurry once I received my food! The rest of the waitstaff was outstanding!
