Excellent staff! They are all efficient and helpful and always cheerful. Parking at and around the property is challenging; I would definitely stay here if travelling without a vehicle as it’s convenient to downtown but in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. But parking a car in the James Bay Area is a hassle.

The staff is exceptionally friendly and hospitable who gave great suggestions and served an incredible breakfast each morning. The house is a beautiful old home with lovely plants on the deck where we had breakfast each morning. The dining room is also lovely. Marketa’s is convenient to all the downtown sites and port. We had a wonderful 4-day stay at Marketa’s.

Great Staff, Amazing Location

Great staff and amazing location, very close to the Victoria waterfront. We enjoyed breakfast at the house every morning and were happy to be a quick walk from everything we wanted to enjoy in Victoria.

Very lovely room and bed and breakfast! One of the few places with a jacuzzi tub! Delicious homemade breakfast! Very nice staff! The parking was tight, but we were able to find a spot down the street.

The house was absolutely lovely, and we were fortunate enough to stay in a spacious room that happened to be available. The room had a beautiful view, and we were truly grateful to spend my time there. The next morning, we even saw a horse-drawn carriage passing by the window—it felt so elegant and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very attentive and kind, checking in with us several times. Although it was just one night, I had such a wonderful stay. If I have the chance, I’d love to visit again. Thank you for the amazing experience.

This vintage B&B is extremely well located. Easy walk to the harbour, Fisherman's Wharf, and great dining options. The staff was amazing. Really nice and happy to help and suggest places to visit around. They were also very flexible in preparing a to-go breakfast since we were leaving early. Would go back and highly recommend.
