It's under construction, so take that into account. It was extremely cold in the room for the first day and a half of my stay. It took that long to heat up once I turned the heat up, and it still was never warm enough. They have it capped at 68 degree, which is ridiculous for a hotel. It should be 70 at the minimum. The power went out both times I used the hairdryer, and I had to call downstairs to get it turned on again. The toilet was not working properly. I had to open the top multiple times to stop it from running. The view was beautiful. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean.

The location is in the heart of Victoria harbor, very convenient to walk to the attractions or transportation to the public transportation. The whirlpool bathtub is nice. Friendly staff.

Hotel is on a street which appears to be the center of night time activity. This makes it very convenient but noisy. Hotel is obviously old and could use updating but that makes it cute and interesting. Parking is the major problem. It’s difficult and expensive. Hotel parking garage is a block away. Found other parking which was only a half block down and a half block behind but still expensive. Wish we had left our car at the ferry dock in Washington. There is so much other transportation available. If you want to stay right downtown within walking distance of many tourist activities, this may be your least expensive option.

Excellent location. On Government street, about 6 blocks up from the ferry docks. Good beds, friendly staff. Connected to two pubs. Little coffee pot and refrigerator in the room. No microwave. Nice big shower stall, with a shower head that I didn't have to duck to get under. "Courtyard" view is the other side of the building 15 feet away, with some AC vents in between. Car park is a block and a half away.

The location and space of a queen room for a single traveller was perfect. It allowed easy access to the city and all it has to offer.

We loved our spacious room with jet tub and view of Victoria Harbour. It had all the amenities and lots of charm. The drawback is the entry to the building, the “lobby”, the elevator. They all seriously need an upgrade.

This is a nice hotel close to the inner harbor and legislative assembly at an affordable price. The room size is small but clean and had all the necessary amenities like coffee maker, refrigerator etc. The window AC was working well for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right in the heart of the city. Unless you would want to brag to your friends you stayed at the Empress, this is the place for you to enjoy your outdoor at nearby restaurants or pubs, and save on the hotel expense!

I love that it’s located right in downtown, and the rooms are very clean

The Bedford is a nice, comfortable hotel. A few minor complaints about the room - too much distance between the 2 beds in our room and not enough outlets. But by far the biggest problem is the lack of parking and the drop-off area. The drop-off area at the front of the hotel is barely out of the way of traffic, if there's even a spot open. When I arrived, 2 cabs were camped out there, so we couldn't use it. The hotel rents space at a parking garage about 4 blocks away, and that's a hassle with all your luggage to carry/wheel.

Good location. Close to everything. Kind of old school. Tub is nice and big…

Just blocks away from the harbor and activities. Room was comfortable and clean , sink drained slow and we didn't always have hot water for a shower

This hotel isn’t for everyone! It’s old and quirky! Staff are great. Location is great. Parking is awful.

Thank you for taking the time to review the Bedford Regency Hotel; we truly appreciate your feedback! Unfortunately, parking in Victoria isn't the most convenient; but we do have amazing public transport which is a great alternative!
