Very good location. Bad bits no wifi in room (room 106), and small room 10'x12' approx but great views nice decor and very convenient for public transport and getting around. Breakfast good. Would stay again.
Staff was very friendly and assisted us with restaurant recommendations and reservations. The rooms are not huge but beautiful and very comfortable and the view is breathtaking. Truly after all the walking and Chianti, all you want is a room close by and a friendly "welcome". I would stay here again.
We had a 4 night stay in the hotel in the junior suite with a balcony overlooking St Mark's basin. Stunning room and amazing views watching the sun go down over Venice. location very handy for all the key sites, and vaporeto. Would stay her again in this room on next trip to Venice.
suggested by our hotel Santa Chiara- taxied from our hotel to this hotel for dinner absolutely beautiful view from rooftop restaurant pleasant food, nice but not enough, a little too expensive nice friendly staff
If your visiting Venice and want to have a location that gives you unbelievable views of the Canal, very close to St Marks square, Bridge of signs, easy access to transport options then the Hotel Locanda Vivaldi is the place for you. The hotel is beautifully decorated inside and has a very classy feel to it with marble finishings but is very modern also with USB charging sockets, all mod cons in the bathrooms and air conditioning that worked exceptionally well. I took the red suite which is on the top floor and has a balcony that was substantial enough for sitting and watching the hustle and bustle below whilst enjoying a cold glass or two of Prosecco which is not common in Venice it seems. If you do take another room however you can enjoy the same view from the terrace where dinners and welcome drinks are arranged. During the day this terrace is open to just enjoy if you wanted to without paying the suite price. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone I know that was travelling to Venice as the staff was helpful, friendly and the breakfasts were extensive with a selection of pastries, cold meats, yoghurts, bacon and eggs, cereals and breads to set you up for the day of walking round, and inevitably getting lost, that faces you on a visit to Venice. Book without hesitation to summarise and enjoy.
This was my second trip to this magic city. Winter is not the best time to go to Venezia, because is so cold an humid. But I will remember this place in my heart for all my life. The rooms are pretty, the service is good. The breakfast is also pretty good. It is located 3 blocks from St Marcos Cathedral. We didm´t use the vapporetto this time because of its great location, may insist. The room temperature was so cozy, the decor is great. You can see murano crystal anywere. One of the best places to be in this atemporal city. The best memories.
My family of four stayed here in August 2017 during a heat wave. We were pleasantly surprised that the air conditioning was able to keep us cool since it was so hot. The hotel is located in a busy part of Venice within a short walking distance of Saint Mark's. Our rooms were in two adjacent buildings. We were initially concerned that our sons' room was not in the main building, but the adjacent building is just across a small courtyard so it wasn't a big deal at all. The staff were all pleasant. Overall very good stay at the Hotel Locanda Vivaldi.
Great location just minutes from St Marks square, made to feel very welcome with a complementary drink in the roof top restaurant overlooking the Grand Canal. Our room was delightful and perfect for the our family, especially the little balcony area on to the side canal. The hotel were really helpful in organising boats out to Murano and back to the airport.
The hotel is conveniently located just a five minute walk from St. Mark's Basilica and right off the main waterway in Venice. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed from the minute we arrived. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. However, the bathroom was relatively small and equipped with a shower the size of a telephone booth. While the room was clean, the existence of numerous mosquitoes and the singular gargantuan house fly was an annoyance we had to put up with. According to the concierge, we were visiting during Italy's mosquito season, but even then he was surprised that our room had such a large number of mosquitoes. In order to reduce the mosquito population in our room, my wife and I had a nightly ritual of killing as many mosquitoes as possible my taking a wet towel and throwing it at the high ceilings where they were congregating. Sans the room's mosquito problem, the hotel stay was a relatively pleasant one and I can only assume that a visit to this hotel "off-mosquito season" would make for a comfortable and convenient stay.
Loved this hotel! It is clean, comfortable and in a great location on the water. The staff is nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. Don't miss the rooftop restaurant, it's very good and a beautiful view.
