We have been to Venice several times before and it is fair to say that this hotel is certainly in the most convenient location we have ever experienced . Its entrance ,sitting room and breakfast room are all stylish and comfortable . The breakfast was good . The staff were helpful and knowledgeable . Our room was attractive and clean and had a small balcony ( not really for sitting on ) which overlooked the Lido and a canal. We ate in the rooftop restaurant one night and it is a delightful setting in which to eat and watch the sun sink over the Lido. The food , wine and service were very good . We were not surprised to find Venice was much more crowded than when we have gone before later in the year but we did feel overwhelmed at times by the amount of large cruise ship groups passing the front of the hotel all day .

Our 2nd stay at Locanda Vivaldi & wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Venice! 5 mins walk from St Mark’s Square & right on the Grand Canal. Very comfortable rooms & friendly helpful staff - notably Egor & Rodney who remembered us from 4 yrs ago! A bottle of prosecco on ice waiting for us when we got back to our room on our 1st day was a lovely touch for being a repeat guest. Looking forward to our next visit!

What a lovely old building with good facilities. Its right on the grand canal. Gorgeous views from the terrace. The staff are terrific and try very hard to please. We received an upgrade for a few nights so had a lovely room with a view. The other room was a bit dark but hey, you get what you pay for so if you want a view from your room you need to pay for it.

Just returned from Venice, our first visit and hotel selection is important, well after using TA, reading the reviews of the hotel, we selected this one. We were not disappointed at all, we had asked for a Lagoon view and we got it, the hotel has a welcoming atmosphere, pleasant staff who are willing to help and assist. The rooftop terrace is an added bonus, where you can either eat or just go for a drink, and soak up the sun and the view. Location is excellent, just a short walk away from St Marks sq. You will know that it takes a bit from reading my reviews I don't give 5 stars very often so this is one I would recommend to anyone Only downside I can advise is we had a first floor room, right by a bridge, where there is a temporary ramp which allows access for wheelchairs etc. Problem is it's used by everyone and its noisy especially at night

Friendly, accomodating and in a great location (view of the Canale Grande) it's difficult to top. The one (and only) downside could be the noise coming from the promenade & canal (but then, you can keep the windows closed and the air-conditioning on). We had a great stay and would love to repeat!

Beautiful superior room with a full view of the waters of the Venice Lagoon.A short walk away from St. Mark's Square. The hotel offers two dining venues. A beautiful rooftop restaurant as well as outside dining in front of the hotel. We ate at both places and each had delicious food.Service was quick however not rushed.

We spent three days at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is a vintage property where Vivaldi once lived and is well maintained with all the amenities. the staff were especially cordial and helpful and asked their assistance to n a number of bookings and travel arrangements. The breakfast which was included offered a large varieties of items and was served in a quaint dining area. The location is superb being just five minute walk from San Marco square and a lot of the main attractions. The hotel faces the main lagoon and has one of the major canals running along side the property which allows it to have its own personal dock if you are taking private taxi services. Also has a beautiful rooftop terrace which serves a great dinner(reservation required because there are only 6-8 tables. Great place excellent location, staff and experience.

I seem to be writing a lot about views at the moment, and this hotel has a great one from the rooftop bar/restaurant, looking across to the Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute and opposite the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. We were invited for a glass of prosecco on the evening of our arrival, which was a nice touch. The staff were professional and helpful. The location is on the waterfront of the Grand Canal near the busy ferry and water taxi terminals three blocks down from the famous St. Mark’s Square. We loved the period furnishings and were comfortable in the air con room which for once wasn’t so noisy as some previous hotels we had visited in other countries. If you don’t want to pay a lot on water taxi’s or gondolas, take your walking shoes, it is what Venice is all about: Strolling around is very relaxing, finding hidden gems of beautiful views, bridges, churches, restaurants or cafes. We walked six or seven miles a day.

My parents and I booked a trip through a group travel Agency and this hotel was part of our stay. The hotel is in a great location to the sites and super friendly. Beds were comfy, bathroom was spacious and the hotel people were amazing!!! The roof top bar has An amazing view, grab a drink up there for sure.

This is a perfect hotel in so many ways, its location right by the vaporetto stop at San Zaccaria where the Airport shuttle boat stops.5 minutes from St Marks which makes it ideal to have a night stroll round the square and hear all the music from the cafes. Pay for a room with a lagoon view and you will find it difficult to leave your room. The staff are very kind and friendly and the Terrace Restaurant makes the hotel perfect. The best time is when dusk falls and the lights start to twinkle in the distance as you sit watching the magic, with a glass of prosecco pure heaven.
