Beautiful hotel, best location and only minutes away from St. Mark square. Exactly look like the picture or even better than what pictures shown. Hotel staffs are professional and helpful. We arrive in midnight and manager is full aware of our arrival. Check in in 5 Min and hotel room is more spacious than we expected. There are two separate rooms for family of 4 and each of us has double bed! Very quiet place in the morning though in the most busy street. Best stay ever and will recommend to anyone!

We stayed in Rome, Florence and Venice. This hotel was our favorite. Formerly the home of a famous composer. The rooms were elegant although not large by American standards. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. Beautiful courtyard garden with a real Rennaisance feel. Although not cheap, it was the least expencive of the three hotels we stayed at.

This hotel is in a great location but is a little ragged. Carpeting shows wear as does the rest of the room. For the price, I expected better amenities and service. Would recommend visitors to Venice look elsewhere

We booked a room with a lagoon view which was the most expensive room we've ever stayed in. It was a lovely room, decorated nicely, new bathroom with a jacuzzi, but about twice what you'd pay for a similar room in the states. The breakfast buffet was excellent and free. They say Venice is the most expensive city in the world and from what I've seen, that's true. The only direct route to the hotel is by water taxi - that's 100 Euros. Sure you can take a water bus for about 12 Euros, but it will drop you off 2 or 3 bridges away from the hotel which is quite a walk if you have alot of luggage. Their location is ideal - 3 bridges (3 sets of stairs) away from San Marco square or about 1500 feet. One other comment I'd like to share - my husband forgot to bring his medication and we were supposed to leave to go on a 14 day cruise the very next day. To make a long story short, the hotel doctor was able to get a months supply of his medication and personally deliver it to us at the hotel the following morning for a very reasonable fee. We can't thank them enough for that. Outstanding personal service!

HAPPY TO RETURN INMEDIATELY. LOCATION,PRICE AND PERSONEL ARE THE MOST.

Hotel is located right down the canal from St. Mark's Square, but just far enough that it is quiet and peaceful. The taxis are right outside for amazing convenience. Street knick knack sells are everywhere, especially at night. Keep walking! Hotel room was amazing and clean. Staff was very respective and spoke perfect English.

I purchased this honeymoon trip for my son and his wife. They absolutely loved this hotel. [...] requested a room with a double bed because they were on their honeymoon and a double bed was provided. Their room was on a corner overlooking the lagoon and a canal. This hotel was steps away from San Marco. My son and his wife caught a water taxi at Marco Polo airport and the taxi dropped them off at the the hotel. Overall I recommend the Locanda Vivaldi and I would stay there myself. [...]
