We were given free upgrade to a lagoon view room which was 65 Euro more expensive than one we booked! Perfect location, staff, room, ambience, fabulous view. Nice bathroom with jacuzzi, bath robe, slippers. Good breakfast. Very peaceful. Fantastic experience.

We stayed at Localda Vivaldi for a few days to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our room was quiet with a very comfortable bed and very clean. The chocolate on the pillows every evening was a nice touch. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Having breakfast whilst sat next to one of the canals was very civilised. We also had a nice surprise from the hotel for my wife's birthday The rooftop bar and restaurant must have the best view in all of Venice and the food and service was excellent too! Perfect location. Easy walking distance to San Marco and very convenient for the water bus stops and the Alliguana stop, especially when arriving at 10:30pm In summary, great hotel, staff and location and thoroughly recommend Locada Vivaldi to everyone.

Husband and I had two rooms with our two boys. Beautiful rooms were large, clean and very comfortable. We had one small issue with a short in our lamp and then electricity. When we called to fix, they were literally at our door in one minute, fixed with a new lamp in three. Breakfast was adequate, porter taking care of that and our needs was phenomenal. Most important was location. We had a canal view, beautiful, and St. Marks is a five minute walk. Would return in a heartbeat.

We came to Venice during a quiet time in mid-January 2018. We got a private transfer, organised through the hotel, straight to the hotel's private dock. This was a lovely touch and great start to the trip, albeit expensive! We had a warm welcome and had our luggage taken up to our room. We asked for the best view possible for the rate we had paid for, and they were great sorting out a room that still had a view of the lagoon without an upgrade. The hotel is very old-fashioned decor wise but in Venice, it is expected and it adds to the feel of the Romantic city. The breakfast was nice, although more hot buffet food could be added, but it's traditionally Italian and the pastries were divine. The hotel is in a great location just minutes away for St Mark's Square and Doge's Palace. Unfortunately their restaurant was closed as it was low season, which was a shame as the views looked like they would have been amazing. Would recommend the hotel

We stayed at this hotel for four nights..on the first night there were noises coming from the room above I could not sleep..I mentioned it to the duty manager the following morning he immediately had the porter show me another room and had my luggage moved there. We had our own bathroom towels were changed every day..the breakfast was very good with a variety to choose from. the hotel is very well positioned.. I would definitely recommend this hotel..

The Hotel Locanda Vivaldi is a very good choice. The immediate impression is of entering a very tasteful private mansion. There is an automatic glass weather door giving access to a commodious vestibule and two broad and easy steps up from the vestibule to the lift and reception area. On arrival the reception staff were very welcoming and dealt with the formalities very efficiently and provided assistance to my room with baggage etc. I had booked a front facing room with a view of the Riva degli Schiavoni and Venetian lagoon and that is what I was offered on the first floor up. My room was nicely appointed in the Venetian settechento style. The bathroom was well appointed with all normal facilities including a jacuzzi bath with shower over. The breakfast room is small but pleasant with a view of the Rio de Greci. There was a buffet with a good selection of cold and some hot food. The hotel is very well located in relation to waterbus stops for nearly all lines. The main tourist Line 1 is accessible over two bridges on the Riva. The hotel enjoys the best view in Venice.along with adjacent five star places such as the Danieli and the Londra Palace. You have San Giorgio Maggiore directly opposite the Hotel and the Lido behind it, the Church of the Redentore and the Giudecca canal, the old customs house and the Church of Santa Maria to the right and the view of activity on the Riva down to the Doges Palace, twin columns and the old Library to the far right. It is a truly wonderful and animated panorama with in the foreground a constant flow of people, gondolas, water taxis and water busses (vaporetti) and delivery barges. Enough to lift anyone's spirits.

A few highlights: hotel is in an ideal location in the heart of Venice. Rooms have nice views. Unfortunately, these are the only two nice things I can say about this hotel. The reason why it’s a one star review: the hotel needs some serious renovations. All of the furniture is outdated, damaged, and/or unappealing. Another big concern is how they run business. When we returned to our hotel on our last day, the front desk notified us that there was “damage” done in our room. He points out a tiny scratch on (an already damaged dresser). The hotel claims that it would be 250 Euro to repair the scratch (that can easily be buffed out). Nothing was written about “damages” prior to check in therefore, staff just gave a price that sounded good to them. Staff was unwilling to budge on the price, and we left the hotel feeling hopeless and taken advantage of. I wish I could write a better review but I have such bad feelings from this poorly run, outdated hotel.

The hotel is very luxury but it is clean and people are very friendly. 60€ / night. Breakfast is ok. You also get Tea and coffee as self-service at night. Bathroom and toilet are to share but they are clean and new

We arrived by Public water taxi service from Pl. Roma and the Hotel is very easy to find, just a five minute walk from the water Taxi stop. The Hotel is Beautiful, nicely furnished and the staff are very polite and helpful The breakfast has a large range of items The Hotel / room is always nice and warm very relaxing and perfectly placed for all of the major places of interest We had a wonderful stay and would definitely use this hotel again, highly recommended
