What a wonderful place to stay in Venice. You are made to feel like family. The staff is superb. It is such a pleasure to be taken such good care of at breakfast. Venice is a gorgeous city but sometimes quite stressful. The hotel with its beautiful front courtyard is an oasis of calm to relax in after a day of seeing the sights. Easy access with two ferry lines that stop nearby, and walking into the rest of the city is also possible, over a bridge with a famous view of the Grand Canal. Highly recommended!
Fully multi-lingual staff. Great morning coffee. Continental breakfast. The veranda and courtyard are set with comfy couches and cafe tables so you can relax with and afternoon spritz or espresso. Rooms are clean and comfortable and spacious by Venetian standards.
The hotel is in a great location, away from the crowds around San Marco, but an easy and enjoyable walk when you're ready to get into the thick of it. There are a lot of nice restaurants close by and abundant shopping on the way over toward San Marco and it's close to the water taxi stop, Zattere, if you don't want to walk. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel offered a nice breakfast which we were able to enjoy outside in their lovely courtyard. It was a great place for the price. Older, classic Venice.
Great hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is nice. Good location and easy access to water boats.
rooms not that great. Really small. The location, staff and breakfast was all good.
As we arrrived to the hotel, we thought to ourselves “wow, what a beautiful entrance”. We were greeted by the receptionist and checked in. Our room was ready for us by 1:15pm. Once we went to our room, we said, “well, we just need this place to sleep”.. it’s not like we were going to hang out there the entire day.. Nevertheless, at night when we arrived, we noticed the room was freezing. We asked the receptionist if we can get the heat turned up.. they claim they did, but it was pretty hard to sleep. Going into the bathroom is another story to share. It was insanely cold and the mirror on top of the bathroom sink looks very old and is stained. The only thing I liked about this place was the breakfast areA. You would get your regular continental food you would expect at other hotels.
Nice hotel. Impressive lobby, courtyard and breakfast room. Complimentary breakfast very nice. Room was small but functional, bed was ok, but basic. Location very convenient to water busses. Short walk to Rialto bridge and St Mark's. Hotel arranged free water taxi to Murano glass factory tour.
Alas, another review about Belle Arti that commends the location and laments the staff. It is very well situated and the neighborhood is quite pleasant. Regular travelers to Venice will understand that the room is small, but it is not cramped. Upon our arrival, we were completely ignored by the desk staff, no acknowledgement or greeting of any kind for several minutes although two people were at the desk. Our first room turned out to be full of someone else's stuff, so we were moved to the annex across the street, which turned out to be more updated and spacious. But, the bathroom door in the new room was locked. The desk staff argued with us about this, insisting that it couldn't be locked, but agreed to send someone to look. Two hours later, someone did come, but I had meanwhile pried the door open. We realize that not all the staff at this hotel is inept, but if you read the reviews you'll see that the daytime desk staff has a history... If you don't mind that kind of treatment, it's a reasonable choice, but we'll go elsewhere next time.
I had booked a triple room. Everything was fine until the next morning when me and my friends were down for breakfast. My friend was sitting at a table and had accidentally spilled some water in the table. The lady who was serving the breakfast said something in Italian in a very rude way. It was definitely not the response you would expect for the price you pay. Also, it was a holiday and most of the shops were closed and we urgently needed a converter plug to charge our computers. When we asked the staff at the reception, she refused to lend it to us.
Our room was clean. Bed was comfortable. AC, workEd, but to complain to lower temperature to make room feel colder. Breakfast, contained of all sweet I teams, beside sliced bread. Overroll was perfect for two nights.
