Stayed at this hotel visiting Venice for the first time,I can honestly say it was perfect for exploring the city with everything with in walking distance,Our water bus stop (S Zaccaria) was only a minute away from the hotel, the hotel itself was very cosy with staff very helpful always there to help, breakfast was great and plentiful and restaurants close to the hotel, Ryan air ATVO bus will drop you off at P Roma €22 return from the airport Treviso , A Vapporeto water bus not a taxi they’re expensive will take you to all your stops for €7.50 single one way, Venice was just beautiful and a lovely place to visit.

The location of hotel was excellent, next to san marque, especially if you travel by water bus as it stopped exactly in front of hotel (bus stop San Zaccaria), no need to pass any bridge with luggage. From Venice san Luica train station use line 5.1 and after 20 minutes you can reach San marque-San Zaccaria stop. the room was big enough and clean. Staffs were helpful and kind. Hotel has lift (we were in second floor) and it is benefit of this hotel because many hotels in Venice does not have lift and you need to carry your luggage from the stairs. There was lots of bars and restaurant all around the hotel. You can find any choice. The breakfast was good. I completely recommend this lovely hotel

The hotel was very pleasant, with a smaller than average size room (for Italy). The bathroom was small with a shower area that was in a tight space surrounded by glass doors. The window opened up to an alley where workers from surrounding shops and restaurants would stand outside to talk and smoke, so we would have to close the window every once in awhile to keep the smoke from coming into the room (it was cool outside so it was nice being able to open the window). The room was always kept clean with fresh towels and linens everyday. The staff was always very friendly and helpful when approached. The breakfast was average but the staff worked VERY hard to keep things replenished and fresh. You really cannot beat the location of the hotel since it was just steps away from the St. Marks Square area (without being too close and noisy). I would recommend this hotel for anybody planning to visit Venice.

one thing i cant stand is a room, where the hotel refuses to give you specifics of the room. you show up with two large suitcases but the room is so small you can only open one. so not to take a chance we booked and stayed four nights at Appartamenti Commercio e Pellegrino, close to everything and plenty of room...not fancy but very comfortable. and big.....people there are very nice and easy to deal with....would recommend to anyone that puts comfort and location over fancy and rude prices.

This 3-star hotel is very comfy, the rooms are small, but the beds are good and the bathroom practical. The selling point is the position, it is VERY central, thus the high price. Breakfast ok, and staff helpful.

The hotel is about two minutes walk from San Zaccaria boat stop so perfect for the airport and also when wanting to catch the boat for day trips. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from St Marks square and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes within walking distance. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good, plenty of choice. The staff were all very friendly too. Would stay here again if we were to visit Venice.

We went as a family and had one room in the main hotel and one apartment (called Casanova) which was through the hotel but a few doors down in a building on the same street. The location is perfect, it is very close to St Marks Square (around five mins walk) and easy to find cafes, restaurants and shops nearby. The street it is on is a narrow one with some cafes, restaurants and shops on it, and leads off the main thoroughfare Riva degli Schiavoni. If you are coming from Marco Polo Airport you can get the Alilaguna boat to the Dan Zaccaria stop and the hotel is a two mins walk - very easy and you can buy tickets in the airport arrivals hall or outside the airport near the Alilaguna water bus stop. The journey takes over a hour in total due to the numerous other stops it makes. One thing to note is that the Alilaguna boats get very busy - on our return journey to the airport, it had to stop taking passengers as it was full capacity - luckily the San Zaccaria stop is one of the first stops on the way to the airport so we were fine to board. The hotel itself was dated and the room was small and smelt musty. We weren't able to open the window as then the air conditioning stopped working, but it was very stuffy in the room so we needed the air conditioning - it wasn't ideal but we were rarely in the room as there is so much to see in beautiful Venice! The breakfast was better than we expected with lots of pastries, cheeses, meats and toast. The apartment we also had in our group was at the top of three flights of stairs and there is no lift - probably not suitable for guests with limited mobility. The apartment was spacious and had a kitchen area, two bathrooms, a sofa bed, the main bedroom was in the annex, and the apartment came with all toiletries and utensils etc and was serviced daily. We found that the water was temperamental so sometimes the flush wouldn't work or the showers were weak - I suppose this is to be expected in old buildings and quite usual in Venice. There was no breakfast included with the apartment but plenty of cafes in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful both whilst we were there and beforehand when we asked them questions by email. If we were to return to Venice we'd definitely go to the apartment as it was spacious and modern. The location waa beyond perfect for what we wanted, which was to have a good base to sight see from.

Excellent location. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and nice. The only downfall is the rooms are very small. Our shower had mold in it. Not much but my wife noticed it. The breakfast was very typical but was fresh and good.

In perfect location near vaporeto stop to airport, next to San Marco square, very clean, quite, very delicious and various breakfast, excellent hotel staff, amazing room with fridge, air contidion and all you need, high free wifi.More than i expect, thanks Albergo Commercio e Pellegrino

Excellent service and friendly staff. Rooms are cozy and the bathrooms are clean. The breakfast is continental and provides various choices of food and beverage. Only two minute walk from Piazza San Marco and only thirty second walk from views of the water and other islands. I recommend this hotel very highly.
