friendly staff, good location, and good breakfast!!

It was kind of hard to find, but the facility was really nice. Met the expectations I had for it. Clean, cute, organized, and a good breakfast

We splurged on this hotel to find a big disappointment. We paid extra to get a room with a view to find that you had to open a window to see the view. No elevator. Had to lug 50lb luggage up three flights of stairs. Hotel is very old. No iron in the room. Bathroom very small. We paid over $200 for a room and I don't think it was worth it. Staff could barely speak English.

Made me feel as if I was traveling back in time. Excellent centralized location. // A bit hard to find the entrance. // You can get the full experience of canal traffic, I liked it but somebody else might not, the canal is very busy and found it interesting and fun.

The front desk staff were amazing! So helpful and so kind all of the time. They made sure to greet us and by the end of our stay they knew our room number. We did check out early in the morning and one of the front desk guys was asleep. I could hear him snoring but other than that great. The shower/bathroom was extremely small, I’m 5’1 and petite and I could barely fit in the shower. We could hear every word or noise our neighbors made through the wall, which I hated as well. I guess the walls are really thin.

Nice staff wonderful location. It was a great experience

Good location not far from Rialto bridge Just hard to find first time

We were carried away by all the wonderful reviews and pictures of the canal view rooms of the hotel and booked this hotel paying 200$ for a night. On reaching the hotel,(which was a bit difficult to find as its hidden in a small alley) the disappointments began----- 1-Old hotel with vintage style boring decor. 2-Steep stairs to take us to our room in 2nd floor and it was a task to carry our heavy luggage to our rooms(no elevator,no bell boy) 3-wifi was a disaster 4-the minibar with drinks and regular water in the room are not complimentary, they will charge you for anything used from it. 5-hair dryer was a vintage type attached to the wall in the bathroom which i couldn't figure out how to use. 6-TV was miniature size on the wall. 7-canal view was nothing like in the pictures,a big blow to our expectations. 8-No A/c in the room in winters-even in April, when few days can get very hot. 9-Breakfast was average with not many options for vegetarians. 10-Biggest disappointment - Customer service from the person at the reception-RUDE!

This hotel is located between the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco making it an easy walk to both. Venice can be a little tricky when you first arrive. We had some difficulty finding our hotel because it's down a very narrow street off of a square. I had to ask for directions from a local shop as our GPS wasn't working in the area. Once we found our way it was easy. The 24 hour front desk staff was very friendly. They were also helpful when we asked for restaurant recommendations. The only thing was the bathroom was very small. We managed but if you're a larger person the shower may be a problem. Everything was very clean though!

Not a bad stay. Great location but booked in a hurry so I read air conditioner and was done, should have read about the stairs. Not so bad for me. Not so great for my Mother unfortunately. But we survived. Great view. Wifi not very strong in room (3rd floor) but free.

the hotel is really well located. The room is ok, not great, but you have to consider the accomodation in Venice.

Ok nos gusto mucho recomendable .................

Dear "Anonymus", all our staff speak perfect English. Furthermore, in all our booking sites it is clearly stated that our hotel does not have an elevator, as it is an ancient (and not "old") building, and if you have compared the prices with other hotels in the same category as the historical center before booking. of Venice, you have seen that the Centauro Hotel is perfectly aligned with the others ... otherwise you can always choose a hotel outside the island, for sure the prices will be much lower.
